Gotcha! I love the Matterhorn Mountain,, because going to DL in So Cal twice a year since I was age 2 to 18...the best part was because my parents were so sick of the 4 of us kids in the car for the 2hr ride, it was "who ever sees the mountain 1st gets to pick which ride we go on first!" needless to say it was a very competive game for us even at an early age! ha ha ha
"A Very Merry Un-Birthday To You!"
Big Thunder! I LOVED the detail the designers put into that ride. I felt like every time I rode it I saw something new...and I rode it A LOT! My grandparents and I would always try to ride that a couple of times late at night on our last night in the park. That's a special, special memory for me!
Ha - plus I remember being so scared of it when I was really little. That's just funny to me now.
Eventually we left the line (I think we had dining reservations somewhere in the park). We went back later that night when it was up and running and got on, but by then the experience was totally ruined for me.
And that's why BTMR remains my favorite...besides the reasons in my previous post...

The FIRST time I ever got up the guts to ride Space Mountain, I was about 10. My grandparents and I waited in a ridiculously long line, and just when we were queued up for the next car...the ride BROKE DOWN! We sat and sat, waiting patiently for it to come back on-line again. We had to have sat on that platform for two hours.saritajuanita wrote:Wow, BTMR gets a lot of love at the Magic Kingdom. But I totally understand this, since the Space Mountain in Florida is rather "meh."

Hi folks. Once again I can't choose just one so I'll list my favorites in order.
Space Mountain. Turns, darkness, speed, nostalgia. Great combination.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Speed, bumps, details, outside. Wild ride.
Splash Mountain. Perfect blend of classic disney "dark ride", and modern "thrill ride". And cool splash at the end. Waaayy cool
.
All in all great mountain range at WDW. Later, peace.

Apparently I voted on this and just can't remember...
I would have said Space Mountain. Love rollercoasters, it was one of my first coaster memories and a first visit vivid memory for me with my dad.
