Which Part of Magic Kingdom needs the most fixing/changing?

I like the look and feel of tomorrowland. The "Retro Future" thing is great. It has that Flash Gordon feel to it not a plastic 2008 version of the future. Dare I mention a non Disney cartoon..."Futurama"...(there I did it).... has a similar style. Sure some of the rides could do with an upgrade/De-pixar and a general freshen up would be welcome but these points would not make this a prime candidate for the total makeover.

Fantasyland and the old 20K area is a painful waste. Do something there first please.

I too like the "look" of tomorrow land.. but it could use some updating, and repaclement of some rides.

Defintatly, it's a large piece of land that has sat idle (with the execption of pooh), for far too long!

sorry thotful spot, while good for kids, is not good land use nor really a stron attraction (if you could even call it one!)

This was actually my daughter's favorite part of MK last time we went.

Yeah. I was just surprised how much she enjoyed it. She's not even a Pooh fan. I thought it was rather sparse compared to other playgrounds, but she loved it. We could have spent the whole day there. Of course, that is true of all the other playgrounds too.

Thing is, there is a very large plot of land the thotful spot is sitting on. They can leave that there, and still have room for another ride the size of, and perhaps a little bigger, space mountain!

The playground takes up only a very small fraction of where the lagoon was. This doesn't even include the area that the show building and maintinence areas took up. There's a whole lot of land between the playground and Magic Kingdom Drive now that 20k is gone.

There's rumors that either Toontown will be expanded into this open field or The Little Mermaid dark ride will be built there off of Ariel's Grotto. If true, these things probably won't happen for quite some time, but I'd be happy whichever one they decide to go with. It would make the Magic Kingdom REALLY worth going back to. The last entirely NEW ride was Splash Mountain.

(edit: no wait, it was the Magic Carpets - but I don't count that)

what makes me annoyed is OLC splurged for their 1990-2000s upgrades were Disneyland and WDW did not. Look at the comparison btwn pooh rides. Def a D or E ticket for OLC, a solid effort for WDW and a poor effort for the original park.

WDW should place an e ticket in the land that 20k used. it would help spread out guests, give another strong attraction, and a NEW ride!

I've heard these rumors. It sounds like the Little Mermaid ride is pretty likely to happen. From what I have heard, it's still a few years off. But with everything they are apparently sinking into the DCA version, I hear it will almost certainly come to this spot in MK too.

I agree...while Tomorrowland does need another overhaul, I would love to see Fantasyland get rid of the courtyard tent look and be redesigned to mirror Disneyland's version.... and maybe bring back Mr. Toad with a version 2.0!

I think tomorrowland needs to be updated... thats the one area that can be updated without too much concern... it is called tomorrowland... but its becoming todayland.
