I've always liked walking around Adventureland, but it could use a little more substance.

Tomorrowland:

1. It needs to get away from the Pixar stuff as meticulus9 and jcodirewolf said. Why is monsters inc here? they aren't futuristic, they are set in a parallel universe not the future. Then there is Stitch..........Stitch I think that is all that needs to be said.

2. Indy Speedway needs electric cars.......

3. COP needs an update in the finally, many of the things in that room are outdated, and if there was a way to ADD another time that would be awesome. it is kind of sad that it goes from the 50's to the....present 10 years ago???????

4. Space Mountain will be getting an upgrade really soon so we will see what happens there. As long as it is close to what DL got I should be happy.

5. TTA........Hm........I got nothing

6. Astro Orbitier, only thing I can say right now is that it needs a new paint job. I haven't ridden it in a long time, 3-4 years now.

Tomorrowland I like the "newer metallic look" but they need to finish updating the rest of the rides.

I voted for Tomorrow Land...I agree with most of what has been said. I felt it looked the same 20 years ago when I last visited a year and a half ago.

Tomorrowland - I spend the most time at this part of WDW, so that may have skewed my vote since I see this part of the park the most. Most of "Tomorrowland" doesn't feel like it is in the age of "Tomorrow" anymore. For example, a lot of the items in the 'future' section of Carousel of Progress are being used today.

I voted for Tomorrowland mainly since the theme has been abandoned.

Some where Imagineering too a left turn to lets put anything in Tomorrowland that we want, theme be darn.

What they need to do:

1. Stitch needs to go.. i know its cute and americans love chilli dogs but its so bland, and inferior to Alien Encounter
2. Monsters Inc - um yeah that needs to go to. Lets leave crush to the talking and get a futuristic ride in there that makes me go wow.
3. Spacemountain - um refurbishment please? Why does WDW have to wait till the ride is a utter state of disrepair to fix it - spruce up the classic, and please put something in the exit so the ramps out aren't so depressing and boring
4. Speedway - oh please at least add electric cars. But here is an idea.. how about brainstorming and idea that makes the speedway pop.. like maybe Maglev cars.. that would be futuristic and sweet!

Rich
Rich,
I totally agree. There is not a lot of Tomorrow in Tomorrowland.
Although I think that the Speedway is a classic I sometimes wonder if they should move that over to Disney Studios, update the tech, and change the frames of the cars to look like "Cars". And have it right next to the Toy Story ride.

The problem with that is that I don't think they would ever just move a ride from one park to the other. They would most likely just rip it out then move it. Tho a cars theme would be pretty cool.

I voted Adventureland. A new attraction would really help that area. I know a lot of people have commented on Tomorrowland, and most of the comments seem to indicate they would like it to be more repersentive of the future, but I don't think anything will represent the future for very long. In fact I think I've heard a track on SSR that talks about Tomorrowland as "the future that never was"! Having said that, the current version of the last scene of COP is pretty lame. Something needs to be done there.

Another example of Disney winning by lowering the standards of even their most dedicated customers.

We used to wonder "How did they do that?!?" and now we're content with "Why did they do that?".

edit: Rant ahead, I didn't realize how much I typed...

The speeday would be cooler if there were things to look at on the side of the road instead of just grass and trees. Even a few billboards would help. Many other amusement parks that have similar raceway attractions beat Disney in the theming of their speedway.

Stitch and Monsters are at the top of the list... if these were to go, 75% of Tomorrowland's problems would be fixed. Timekeeper and Alien Encounter were both great futuristic attractions. I vote for the sci-fi future for Tomorrowland since Future World is supposed to have real futuristic technology. I think the sci fi idea fits better with the Magic Kingdom anyway.

Buzz shouldn't really be there either in my opinion, but it definitely fits better than Dreamflight, even if it is based on a movie. I just don't understand why Disney doesn't make original characters and an original storyline for their theme park attractions anymore.

Space and CoP just need freshening up.

Galaxy Theater needs to be razed for a new Nautilus Lagoon  whether it be a walkthrough like DLP or something similar to the old Fantasyland ride.

TTA is basically perfect, but the track could be extended for a longer ride. Maybe out over the speedway and around the back of CoP through a cool tunnel or something. :D

I'm also beginning to dislike the design of Tomorrowland. It's cold and univiting with all the metal. I think the lack of foliage also paints a bleak and pessimistic view at the future too. While I love the Astro Orbiter (I think I like looking at it even more than the castle) I would love to see all of Tomorrowland redesigned with the soft white and pastel scheme from the original Tomorrowland and Meet the Robinsons.

In actuality, I really liked the idea of DLRP's Jules Verne themed Tomorrowland, but it wouldn't be plausible to redo WDW's TL like that (Space Mountain would look out of place).

^^^CC's two cents^^^

I liked AE better then Stitch, However, I don't really like either as a re-ride.... I loved AE the first time I rode it, as at the time, I hadn't been on any wdw message boards, or anything like that, and so I had no idea what the ride was, and is scared the pooh out of me! :P. Anyway, I rode it again a day or 2 later, and it was just .. meh... so so... I get the same feeling from stitch.
