You can get rootbeer floats at Pecos Bill's in the Magic Kingdom. It's just rootbeer and vanilla soft serve, but it's pretty tasty when it's hot out.

If you read through people's comments, you'd notice that (in addition to expressing a preference for strips) a number of us were annoyed with Disney again taking away but charging more. Regardless of your opinion on whether or not chicken strips are a better or worse deal than chicken nuggets, there is no reason to be rude/condescending.

Yup, you are correct! They are JUST Chicken Strips...

...THAT my wife and I ate on our first trip to WDW together. We eat them every trip at the same place. We fall more in Love each time we do.

NOW, if you add that (and other details I won't divulge) you get WAY MORE then "JUST" Chicken Strips. I will concur with other posters that unless your statement was 100% pure joke and the joke was 'lost in translation' (the internet) I suggest you think three times before posting such a shallow, self centered, and rude remark without considering adding some smileys, conside that anything Disney on this forum is very close to peoples hearts (and emotions), and "does it add anything to the overall thread".

Thanks, have a nice day, and MAYBE my wife will still go to WDW as this was a very IMPORTANT part of our trips.

I guess the point is that we all have our little favorite things at Disney and it's sad when they're removed. While I really couldn't care less about chicken strips, enough things (large and small) that I've loved about Disney have been taken away from me that I can at least sympathize.

Agreed. My condolences to all the bereaved chicken strips fans out there. I was similarly distressed when I learned of the changes at Tusker House in AK, as that was a favorite spot for our family.

My favorite counter service meal at MK is the taco salad at the "Pirate and Parrot" (sorry, the Spanish name eludes me). Does anyone know if it's still there?

Mmmmm...El Pirata y El Perico. I LOVE that restaurant! Alas, it is only open seasonally. I did get to eat there for the P&P Party.

It is?? Oh no. I vowed never to go to Disney during the busy season but I love that restaurant. Is it open in September or early December? I hope so.

Lighten-up SWhorn! I didn't think I was being negative, you all were just being soooo serious about chicken strips, I just couldn't resist :D please, please don't take offence. Seriously, I will be more careful about how I word things from now on, this web sight is such a kick, and I certainly don't want to make it any less fun for you or anyone else. However, if it happens to be a serious subject I will be honest. By the way I LOVE the chicken strips, especially at the Harbor House, thats one of my favorite restaurants at Disney. Oh, if they ever decide to do away with Kaki Gori in the Japan pavillion my sister and I will , the ice is shaved so fine and the syrup they pour over them is delicious! Have a great weekend everyone, truly sorry if I upset anyone else. Love to all my fellow Disney fans :minnie:

To Y2FDonor, I am so, so very sorry  , and again to any one else I have upset. I know EXACTLY what you mean, its everything at Disney that makes it special, and I certainly did mean it as a joke. I will think MORE than three times before I enter a post that could even remotely be taken the wrong way.I thank you so much for your comment.

When I become Disney CEO, my first act will be to purchase a chicken ranch. That way we will always have ample supply of chicken strips.

And yet another thing falls to the over-health-conscious world. Lets just pray that they don't take out the turkey legs. :(

i know this is for selfish reason, but i cut out fried food from my diet since im getting married next year and want to loose wait, so this is going to help me. Now I won't be tempted by them when I am there in May and June!!!

I noticed this on our trip a few weeks ago. I did not try them but if the nuggets are whole muscle breast meat there should be no loss in terms of quality. Price was probably a factor and a order of nuggets will cook faster than the strips.

Bye Bye Chicken Fingers

Post by Tinkerbell » Mar Sun 02, 2008 10:14 pm

yes it is a sad sad day. No more chicken fingers. It seems they do get rid of many good things to eat. Does anyone remember the yummy yummy pizza place in the tomorrowland terrace? That was really good pizza, me and my sister used to always go there together to get our pizza before the end of our trips. They got rid of that only to have that space vacant for quite a while and then replace it with a noodle station THAT IS NEVER OPEN! haha anyway now we must add the chicken fingers to the list. We will have to try the nuggets. Hopefully they will be as good....

THE NOODLE STATION WAS OPEN WHEN I WAS THERE THIS FEB!!! I had never seen it opened in my 30 yrs of coming to the park.

I feel for the chix finger ppl, for my wife and i it is funnel cakes and illuminnations.....

speaking of less for more, didn't the hot dog at casey's used to be called a quarter pounder and fill the bun?
and the number one hardest thing to find in Walt Disney World is.....5 consecutive smiling children!!
"excuse me, that is NOT a designated smoking area, now would you PLEASE kindly take your fat white trash hiney OUT of MY park!! Thank you!!"

long live the dole whip!!!! Disney, please don't take my Dole Whip away. You once had a great eggroll cart in AL, but youve taken away most of the greta rolls from there like the oriental cheese dog. Those were the best!
