i'm a big fan of adam sandler...i love his movies! i'm super psyched that he's teamed up with disney for a movie!

the movie is called "bedtime stories" and is about an uncle (adam sandler) who tells his nephews crazy bedtime stories that actually start coming true. it's coming out in Dec of 2008.
blueskydisney.blogspot.com brought it to my attention. there is a page up about it on imdb.
has anyone heard about this, before my post? i'm surprised i haven't heard about it until now, but maybe that's because i don't really subscribe to any fan newsletters or anything...
i'm hoping it's going to be great...i mean, the humor and lovableness of adam sandler + disney magic....

I'm not a big fan of Adam Sandler like I used to be. I guess if he can keep it clean enough to be in a Disney movie it should be pretty funny.
Definitely interesting. I'd never heard anything about this. And there isn't a lot of information out there from what I saw. There are a lot of articles, but they all say the same thing.
Crazy that they were just supposed to start shooting this month and they're going to have it out in December. It'll be fun to follow it.
Thanks for the heads up!

you're welcome!
yea, it will be fun to follow. i really hope it's actually funny and a good movie and not just another cranked out disney live action movie. i doubt sandler would do that, but you never know.
hey, if this goes well...maybe we could see sandler doing a disney animated character's voice someday....that'd be so cool! i could totally see him as the goofy sidekick. ooh, or maybe he'd host a ride or a ride queue! ok, i'm getting ahead of myself lol...
i just know that when disney meshes well with a celebrity, they often ask them to do more things with them...and it doesn't hurt to hope;)

Thanks for the news Cheshire.
I do have to agree with SWHorn in that I hope he can keep it clean. I like some of his movies but some do go a little to far. Who knows if Eddie Murphy can pull it off why can't Adam.

well, i am a fan of the vulgar humor;)
however, i doubt there will be any of that in a walt disney family film. imdb says the film is family/comedy/fantasy. i think sandler is doing what a lot of actors do when they have kids-- starting to make movies their kids can watch when they're young.

Thing to remember is that Disney has its hand in a lot of different stuff with different ratings. Who knows what he can get away with in a PG movie.

i just don't think disney would market the movie as a family film if that was the case...especially with their name on it (it's going to say walt disney on it, not like a side company that disney owns or anything).
have they ever done anything that bad in any of their walt disney family films? i haven't seen them all, so i wouldn't know.

I love Adam so I hope he'll make it worth seeing. Some of his movies are decent, I will say that, so I hope that him making a Disney film will be good.

That seems odd. So either it will not be a clean movie or they are making Adam not curse.....

The jury is still out on this one for me; I'm hit-and-miss on Adam Sandler. But based on the general description, this movie could be really good. I'll be sure to see it, though.

It sounds like a good concept. I know that Kerri Russell is in the movie too with Adam Sandler so I don't think that she would do a movie with something crazy in it. Hoping for the best!

I am not excited about hearing that Adam Sandler is doing a Disney movie. His past films are nothing special and he definitely is not a Disney quality actor. But...I suppose I'll give it a chance.

Adam although a great comedian and think water boy, Big Daddy, Happy Gilmore, are some of his funniest movies, but somehow i feel some might not think that they are family appropriate.

oh yeah and remote control rules!

I'm not a big fan of Adam Sandler at all, He's ok at best, watchable, I guess. He really doesn't make family movies. At least not for Disney Families.
