Crush 'n' Gusher

The new three tube/track water coaster [it goes uphill if you can believe it] at Typhoon Lagoon opens up in March from what I hear. Should be interesting, they don't always add a lot at the water parks so this is an interesting investment and I expect will draw some crowds since very few Master Blast water coasters out there.

I haven't been to TL in years, it is always closed when I go. Blizzard Beach is nice but coming from a snowy region it would be nice to spend time in the tropical water park if I go to one when I'm down there. However, for those of you that never get the snow I imagine the snowy white theming is fun. At least there is no shoveling involved!

I saw the construction back in Dec when going through Typhoon Lagoon bus stations on the way to Downtown.

Have ridden these water coasters before. They are a lot of fun.

The only problem with this is prior to Crush 'n Gusher opening, Blizzard Beach was the hands down best water park. Now BB is probably still better overall, but TL has a reason to go. If you don't have a day to devote to each, it can be tricky deciding what to go on.

FYI - it is now up and running. Just in time for the heat and crowds of the summer...

Neat! Looks like they did a good job theme-wise in the photos, should be a great addition to the park.

Has anyone tried this out yet? We are going in June and can only do one water park. Trying to decide which it will be. any thoughts?

Hmm.. that is a tough option.

I haven't been on Crush 'n Gusher yet because last time I was there, November 2004, it was still under construction. I'm very interested to see how it works though, but it definitely looks like a must-do.

As for which park you should go too, well, I don't think I'm the best person to answer that question. I like both water parks equally. I guess it depends upon which theme you like more, and what kind of rides/activities you would take place in at them.

Overall, I like Blizzard Beach best just for the whimsical, unique theme - but we'll be hitting TL this summer with this new addition. You really can't go wrong w/ either.

Yes, I agree. No matter which park you go to, you'll have fun and come out happy. Both themes are very different though, so I guess it depends on which you like more.

The Crush 'n' Gusher does look like a great ride. I've never seen anything like it. It's very interesting that it's a water roller coaster type of thing. But for theming, isn't it supposed to be a tropical fruit packing company? I like that theme, it's very fruity and tropical, heh, but looking from the picutres, it doesn't look like they did too much of a good job. Or maybe the pictures are just not in a much themed area. I guess we'll have to see. But I like the whole tropical fruit idea.
