We are CLOSING in on my gallery being back up. My office/datacenter was partially rebuilt last night. One more machine (tara) to bring up and pull the database off of.

First up, greetings to all -- I do believe this is my first post 'round here, but I've been a listener for much longer.
In any case, while I realize it's off topic, I'll second the opinion on honeymoons being better (in my own opinion, of course, and I wasn't married at WDW).
My wife and I had a beautiful wedding in our local church with family and friends. Then we got a ride to the airport, and from there, it was Disney treatment until we got back off the plane at home. They picked us up from the airport, had our luggage delivered to our room in the Grand Floridian, we had our meals paid for through the entire 7 day, 6 night stay, park tickets (duh) and many more little details that I'm sure I'm forgetting. Price tag? Including airfare, about $4500.
Having our wedding there would have been fantastic if we could have afforded it (and flying our entire family). But we have a lifetime of wonderful memories from the honeymoon itself.

as my parents did their vow renewal in disney first, which is what sold me on a disney wwedding long before i even met my wife, I tried to capture the sme magic. But alas, their event, once paying to fly everyone in, was in excess of 60 K. since we only had abut 20 K to work with, our event, while great, lacked for the amount of people who could attend. Being later in life, more of my parents friends could afford to go and they could afford to help those who couldn't. In retrospect, perhaaps waiting for aa vow renewal would have been better, even though it wasn't what my wife and I wanted. Had I nothing else to compare it to, however, I would probably have no complaints, though the non catholic ceremony did seem to bother the elder family members more than I anticipated, rgardless of Rev. Jack's wonderful ceremony.
and the number one hardest thing to find in Walt Disney World is.....5 consecutive smiling children!!

well you can always do what we did. Have a catholic ceremony in Orlando, since holy family won't let you do anything at Disney ( We made the mistake of saying we wanted a small family ceremony there, and our larger "for friends and family" would be at Disney, they said "we can't accommodate you for that.") So we had to use St James downtown.
Mary queen of the universe is a shrine and can't be used (You must be at least this tall to have a wedding and Mary is too short.)
As far as getting people there we just let who could come come. And I was AMAZED at who made it. We asked for no gifts, try and offset the cost of the trip.
