i vote yes. This doesn't affect me, bt some people just don't have the time to to build up points in the forums, they just like to listen to the music. Why should the be "penalized" ina way by not being able to listen to what they may like that others do not request? I don't even check the que during the day anymore, knowing it will be at least 3 hours before I can listen to my personel selections, and I just don't have the time to wait. I usually listen around midnightish EST when the que is either short or non-existant. If there was a way to put a cap on songs during"peak hours" I am in favor of that.

i'm not a huge-amount of points-guy but i vote NO for one reason : sometimes i like to select several tracks in a row from the same land : so that i can really feel like i'm walking in this land for half an hour.....and i think THIS MAKES SENSE
so please allow me to request several tracks in a row to do that again and again

You would still be able to have your 1/2 hr of songs, it was stated that the cut off would be around the 70 min. mark.i'm not a huge-amount of points-guy but i vote NO for one reason : sometimes i like to select several tracks in a row from the same land : so that i can really feel like i'm walking in this land for half an hour.....and i think THIS MAKES SENSE

In other words, we think Sub should have to come up with the most complicated programming for this possible, if its gonna happen.marcdijon wrote:a kind of FastPass system seems a nice idea, as Disney fans

I'll be back at 7 PM to get on the subsonic radio attraction in less than 15 minutes! Haha.

I almost feel wrong voting because during my usual listening time, this almost never happens (in fact, I'm not sure I've ever seen it...). When I read the topic, I was like "Several -hours-? Really? Wow."
Anyway, I voted no. I think the people who have enough points to swing more than 70 minutes of requests are long-term-enough members of the community that asking them to restrain themselves should be sufficient. I imagine the same would hold true of anyone who posted/contributed enough to have that many points in future. But then, I don't really know what goes on during the day; maybe things are different than for us nocturnal types.

I would appreciate being able to get a track or two in during the day. I don't generally mind someone "hogging" the queue because it's all good music as far as I'm concerned. But I would like an opportunity to request a favorite in there somewhere. By the time I get to the office, I feel like the queue is full for the day and that there's no hope of hearing the one song stuck in my head until the weekend when the queue is not so full.

I'm still debating this. I've been thinking of limiting for a while. So I think I might implement this anyways to test it out. If it's absolutely horrible, I'll take if out. Really, an hour won't be that bad. If you're queuing up four 15 minute tracks, and they play immediately, you only have to wait 15 minutes to request something again.

Just to add in my .02
I never request anymore due to this reason. Every time I look on ther are HOURS of tracks requested. I listen, but never request anymore because I know I have no shot of getting in the music I want to hear.
Its still good music, but I think it generally discouages lowbie posters from requesting.
I voted yes, and think that the 70 Minute idea is a good one, as that way you can either play one long track, or 6-7 medium ones.
