Assuming money is no object, what is the optimal number of nights to stay at a WDW resort? Some people would say "forever", but come on...I love this place, but there's a tipping point where even I am ready to go home.

I usually do about the ten day thing...Arrive on a Sunday and stay through maybe tue/wed of the next week. Or if I am feeling crazy, I will arrive early to mid week and stay though and leave on a Friday morning.
[DVC - gotta take care of those points.]

We, too, usually go for 10 days. My husband and I took a trip that was just shy of 3 weeks last January-February. It ended up being a tad bit too long, but I think that was partially because I was sick.
To be perfectly honest, I would like nothing more than to move to Central Florida, right near Disney, and be there "forever."

The longest visit was seven nights. My most recent was six. Ten would be ideal and give me a chance to do all kinds of new things.

I would say 10 days would be a perfect amount of time.

I feel like a freak saying this, but I fell in love with the Contemporary Resort in 1971 when it opened. And I would love to live there. LOL. Can't help it. The longest I've stayed is one week. I have stayed there 5 times over the years and luckily have friends who like to stay other places. So, I have stayed at many of the other resorts, but, I would go back to the Contemporary everytime other wise. But, I would like to stay for two weeks at WDW and of course make that stay at you can guess where.

I voted for 2 weeks. That would give at least 3 days at each park, and maybe some time for the water parks.

Forever was my vote, but I have to think that after about 2 weeks, I would be ready for a break...all I know is that last time we went for 9 days, and I still didn't want to leave.

I voted for 3 weeks. I think that's just long enough to ride all of your favorite rides, try a bunch of new activities, and unwind.

these are interesting responses. part of why i like disney so much is because it is a special place that i don't get to go to anytime i want. if i was there forever, it would lose its luster with me. i wonder if there are any former cast members that still go back regularly, and if they feel it is a special place for them....hmm?

I think 6 days is just right for me for vacation at WDW every 18 months or so. It seems to be enough time to do the must-do's with a little bit of down time added in.

9 days/8 nights is perfect for us. It allows us to have multiple days in our favorite parks (MK and Epcot) with some down time in between.
