WDW cast member asking a potentially stupid question

Post by DIAC1987 » Feb Mon 11, 2008 1:09 am

Does the Disneyland area have a sort of college program recruiting program that can be found in Walt Disney World?

Just wondering, thanks.

I don't know if they do now, but they did in 2001. But it was never very big - I went to school in Santa Barbara, and I think that San Francisco might be as far away as they recruited. They did arrange housing and "classes," but they program was only during the summer (not during the school year), and I'm not sure if you could get college credit for it.

However, I'm pretty sure they still run some sort of college band program during the summer - recruiting college band members to play with the Disneyland band during the summer.

DIAC1987, just remember - the first rule of management: There are no stupid questions, just stupid people. or something like that... If you click the link in Lion's post, you'll see there is the CP at DLR, but as the park is not quite as big as WDW, it has alot fewer jobs.

Having just graduated from a culinary arts program, I know firsthand that currently disney is recriuting college students to work in the parks and on the cruise ships. :)
