Hey all,
They have done away with E-Ride nights, at least for now. They use the Extra Magic System now, and its a heck of a lot more crowded. (or can be) I've worked my fair share of these nights. Its available to all resort guests and is typically a 2 - 3 hour extension of the park hours. There is no cost. We have had night were there are 9000 people and nights where there are 35000 people. Thats just for the Kingdom. Fun stuff.

Nope, you are right. My wife and I did E-Ride several nights on our vacation and we loved it. It was like we had the park to ourselves. In just a couple of hours we did Alien Encounter 3 times, Buzz 5 times (we are competitive), Space mountain 1 time, Big Thunder 3 times and Splash 1 time. It was a blast. They even ran another Spectro for the E Ride, it was fantastic.rick-g-tn wrote:That's why I would rather pay the $10.00. I think when we paid they limited it to only 5,000 or am I wrong.

Extra Magic hours is a nice perk for us Disney Hotel stayers, is stayers a wordG2-4T wrote:Just FYI - E ticket nights are no more. Early entry has been altered to make it Extra Magic Hours.

EMH is better then E Tickets for 2 reasons:
- 1. Its FREE for hotel guest... not that E Tickets were that expensive..but 10 bucks is what 2 buckets of popcorn
2. E tickets had a limited availablity...where as EMH seems to be on all times of the year

Yup, they do not limit the number of guests. They also have the problem of making sure only Resort guests stay after hours. A study has been done and it appears that up to 15% - 20% of the guests staying for the extra magic hours ARE NOT resort guests. Oh well. I don't believe I have worked a single EMH night with less than 25,000 guests at the Kingdom.rdeacon wrote:Extra Magic hours is a nice perk for us Disney Hotel stayers, is stayers a wordG2-4T wrote:Just FYI - E ticket nights are no more. Although it wasn't really crowded during the day.....

Be warned, if you attend an EMH, your only choices out of the park are the resort monorail and the buses. There is no express monorail after 1 hour past closing. So be prepared to wait if you should decide to leave when everyone else does.

I took advantage of MK EMH at night when I was there earlier this month. I thought it was great. More attractions were open than during E-Ride nights (for example, Fantasyland). It wasn't really crowded at all, although I'm sure it would probably be moreso during the summer. It seems like it is available to ALL WDW resort guests, not just some...
E ticket Nights!
ya it is so cool only a certain amout of people get in so the rides are easy to get on ever the best ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I would always take advantage of the ERide nights when we were there. We're disappointed that it's no longer available. I've read a lot about the EMH and so far the overwhelming majority of things that I have read said it's not as good as ERide...that it's a lot more crowded, etc. So I guess we'll see when we go in August.
