bdinger wrote:I feel the opposite about the "If You Had Wings" and "It's Fun To Be Free" tracks. These are rides that were around when I was a kid and first starting to get into Disney. So, hearing them brings back some good memories. Although I don't remember much of the "If You Had Wings" ride, I'm a big fan of the "omnimover" type rides like this and World of Motion.
While I liked The World of Motion attraction a lot, that track that's just the fun to be free song in slightly different incarnations that goes on for 30 minutes is just too small world-repetitious for me. I like the audio track of the actual ride through; I agree that brings back fond memories. Heck, the Small World music does too - until it's been playing for 12 minutes and my eyebrow starts to twitch.

I never rode If You Had Wings (I do remember Delta Dreamflight, though - I guess it's possible I rode the other when I was really small and don't remember it at all), so that one doesn't get a pass from me in the nostalgia department. I can certainly appreciate how other people would associate good memories with them, though. Same way as I like the smell of 'damp' because it reminds me of PotC. :)

I'm new to this site, but so far "old lady and tootie" usually results in an immediate mute for me.

I actually rather like "old lady and tootie," but I'm afraid I have no fond, childhood memories of Sonny Eclipse to induce me to like him (didn't go to WDW until I was 24). When I see the full show in the queue, I cringe. Please people - limit yourselves to individual tracks!

I am drawing a complete blank - what attraction and which park is this from?

"Old Lady and Tootie" is a bit of dialogue that is broadcast from a second-story window in New Orleans Square in Disneyland (by the Petite Patisserie) - an old lady and her bird get into a fight (when the bird starts whistling "Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing" and insults her).

Need to refresh before posting -

I figured it wasn't an integral part of a ride or show, but the woman's dialect is performed terribly.

Edit: Not to mention it isn't very funny. Not a big deal, but I know I'll have to walk away for a few mins when it's coming on.

I hear that song and it makes me think of fun trips my dad and grandpa had in grandpa's cabin cruiser, motoring out to Catalina in the late 60's.

There's video on youtube of someone flying out to Catalina and landing, with this song playing. That's something I'd like to do when I'm out that way with a plane.

Walt Disney World - Animal Kingdom - parades & shows - Rehearsal - Opening Loop

Ugh.

"Ah ha ha...there's sooo many people"

Who or what is being rehearsed with this? And why do they have to repeat the same lines soooooooooooo many times?

I do like the actual parade track, though.

A lot of the AK parade loops seem to go on too long (for my taste anyway). I realize why they are the way they are - parade float loops have to be long - but man alive... "Aiko ... Aiko ... Aiko aiko aiko!"

Even though The Great Movie Ride is one of my favorite attractions at WDW, but seriously, "Rosa" TOTALLY ruins this track for me. "Mickeeeey Mouuuuse"

Does anyone have another recording with a different cast member?? Please...?

The comments in this thread shows us something we already know...Disney has something that appeals to everone, and something for everyone to dislike. We're all different. I'm so thrilled to have found this site with the great music and people that I'll put up with the tracks I don't care for, knowing that somebody listening out there really enjoys it. I'm a huge Haunted Mansion afficionado and can't get enough of the full show track. But, it looks like some others don't care for it at all. I'm glad that you're all patient with me when I request it. I'll do my best to be patient with you as well.

When I see that there are 20 tracks requested in the 3 hour break I have between classes and the next available time slot is after my break when I'm in class :(
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

Well put. I think that's part of what makes this a cool community, really; that we can share the airwaves. :)

I'm glad to have the track on here, but I agree that recording isn't so great. I find her kind of hard to understand (though she's saying the same thing the castmembers always say, I guess). Alas I don't have another one to contribute so I can't help. >.<

The holiday parade is up there for me too.

CoP. There must be a dozen versions of this. I swear I have to sit through the whole show at least once a day. The song is catchy, but the whole show! Every day!

Pirates and Haunted Mansion fit into the same category. But they are shorter at least.

I don't mind most of the loops. The Epcot ones are especially good. China being the exception...

I could also do with a little less "Living with the Land".
