I like on a day where I'm too cheap to buy soda in the parks, I will stop there to fill up a few dixie cups of free soda. My favorite is Israel, the Lemon one and the Watermelon one. I actually don't mind beverly though as I did have 14 shots of it in a row!
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

I think Beverly is only really 'bad' if you don't know what to expect. If you're thinking it's a soda like you'd normally drink then you're not prepared for the ... astringent properties.
My favorite is the Kinley Lemon too, though, with VegetaBeta a close second. We should do a poll on this one.

I think that is actually the point of Beverly. I heard that people use it in between meal to cleanse the palate. Just what I have heard.packwingfn wrote:I like having it before a good soda as it makes the good soda EVEN better!

I honestly can't remember if the Club Cool dispenser says the same thing, but this picture from the World of Coca Cola exhibit in Atlanta (not my picture </disclaimer>) actually says on it it's an aperitif, which would jive with the palette cleansing thing. Pic
Seems to me I remember the WDW one saying something like that at -some- point because I remember there used to be little blurbs about the different sodas. And even though I was just in there 2 weeks ago, I can't for the life of me remember if it's still there. Horrible thing, getting old...
I have to say, while I don't actually like the flavor, it doesn't bother me as much as it did when I was younger. Again, though, I think that's because I know what to expect.

the first time we went there i tried beverly and my brother happened to be at a different station at the time.
so i filled up a cup of it and told him that it tasted like cherry or something like that.
funniest moment of my life
but yah, i love the watermelon one. i probably drank about 17 cups of that stuff...

when i worked up there i would bring an empty water bottle which I would keep in the freezer the night before. I would put that in an insolated bag, which I would put in a backpack. Once at the park I would go get some ice, put it in the bottle and fill it up with the watermelon or kinley. It would last all day and I never had to buy a drink!

"hold on to them hats and glasses, cause this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!!"

I think you could probably use that Beverly drink to degrease engines and clean out septic tanks. Ugghhh!
