Here's a few pictures from my recent December trip just in case you haven't had your fill of Christmas or if you just need a Diseny fix  .

lights of winter

Cinderella's Vanishing Castle
http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g101/ ... 010875.jpg

I like these cool setups they put up on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It's one of those extra magical things that Disney does that they really don't have to
http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g101/ ... 0932-1.jpg

The EWP was sitting in the middle of the Lagoon not facing any resort in particular...
http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g101/ ... 010110.jpg

...then it got even weirder and the fireworks went off and the EWP music stopped playing while they continued to light up
http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g101/ ... 010150.jpg

the new toy story mania building doesn't look like it really fits in with the surrounding soundstage-style buildings
http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g101/ ... 010073.jpg

the sign was taken down
http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g101/ ... 010075.jpg
and later the arch was repainted

construction wall while the tea cups were in the giant dish washer
http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g101/ ... 000344.jpg

OCD moment...
this sign on the buses bothers me. if they had switched the writing on the bottom with the writing on the top, they wouldn't need that messy red arrow
http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g101/ ... 020113.jpg

my favorite picture of the vacation from the epcot guest relations building
http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g101/ ... 000418.jpg

I hope you enjoyed them. I'm sure you appreciated them more than my family who thinks I'm crazy for taking pictures of arches without signs and buildings under construction

edit: wow, I didn't realize I posted as many as I did. Sorry if it's a little much.

No such thing as too many! Your pictures are beautiful. I'm especially impressed you got such a steady shot of the 'fuzzy white things' near the Lights of Winter arches. That whole area is my favorite part of Disney holiday decorations. Your pictures of the castle are wonderful as well. Thanks so much for sharing!

... I'm so happy to know I'm not the only one who was bothered/puzzled enough by this to point it out. The people I was traveling with thought I was OUT of my MIND. Which may be true anyway, but still. It seems like basic graphic design principles would have solved that one for them.

Beautiful stuff Cheshy!!!! I love the construction wall quote you did, "while the tea cups were in the giant dish washer" that was funny. And I suppose you were at the Contemporary for those pics of the "on top of the World" and "Vanishing Castle". I love them all!! Thanks Cheshy!!

looking at your pics just made me realize how much I miss it. I haven't gone more than a year without going up there, and I haven't been there in just over a year. I hate priorities!

Fantastic pictures, Mr. Cat! Can't wait till I return to Disney World. Does anyone know if they're keeping the icicle castle after the new year?
