New Disney Christmas show on Travel Channel on 12/14

Post by jozel27 » Dec Fri 14, 2007 2:21 pm

I read today that Samatha Brown's new Disney Christmas show is on tonight at 8:00 on the travel channel. I thought someone might be interested.

I think it was also on early in the week. I haven't watched it yet, but I Tivo'd it.

Do you know for sure that it is new? I'm pretty sure Samantha Brown had a previous Disney Christmas special. I'm betting it's the same special with some newer footage added. The Travel Channel does that a lot.

I hope it's new. I'm always hungry for more WDW shows. Even though I've never been a fan of Samantha Brown.

That reminds me, I did happen to spot Samantha Brown at DSSR last month. I hope the special is new as well.

I actually posted about this in another thread: viewtopic.php?t=3690

there is some older stuff, but it's mostly stock material (overhead, panoramic shots and such). They call it Disney's Hollywood Studios rather than just Disney studios or Disney-MGM studios. In addition, they have the icicle lights on the castle, and Spaceship Earth at EPCOT doesn't have the wand.

I'm going to try and capture the video to put on youtube or something, and I'll also capture the audio if anyone wants it (kinda like the vacation planner videos)

I caught it by dumb luck last Wednesday night. The lighting of the castle gave me goosebumps! It's worth a watch. It really got me in the holiday mood, but also a little sad that I wasn't there to see it myself!

I saw this show and it is repeating all week on the Travel Channe. I think it is on again in the evening on the 23rd.

I just have to gush -- it is wonderful! -- so beautiful and she goes all over and shows you everything! One of these years I am going to WDW in December!

Samantha is always fun and to see all the glorious decorations really got me in the Christmas spirit -- right after watching it I decorated my tree and mantle piece in a more creative way -- I was inspired!!!

I saw it once last week, then taped it over the weekend. It was time for an updated version, and I think it turned out really well.

The Show is pretty good, worth checking out for any disney fan. They do a good job going over Expedition Everest in the beginning. Very thorough.

I have yet to see it....unfortunately I live in Canada so we only get CTV Travel and Escape channel. Hopefully, it will air on there someday soon.

it'll be on tomorrow night at 8pm in the US. I'm going to record it and put it up on YouTube (or similar) and post the link. hopefully, my computer doesn't screw up.
