I agree - COP cannot go away. I think of how much I miss Dream Flight. These rides that look back of the history of where we came from are awesome... they all can't go away!! Besides, we need to remember... it's a great big beautiful tomorrow.

The rumors of CoP being replaced will probably never go away until CoP is actually replaced. From what I have heard, it is actually not very likely it will be replaced any time soon.
Also, the Incredibles ride that was rumored involved technology that Disney lost the rights to when Universal signed the Harry Potter deal. So, I wouldn't expect to see that one for a long time, if ever.

I know that CoP was originally built for the 1964 world's Fair (at least in part) and from there, moved to Disneyland in 1967. After that, it was closed in Disneland and made into America Sings. CoP was then moved to WDW some time in the mid - late 70s

I guess moving the COP to EPCOT would kinda fit with the progress and future theme. It would fit in wouldn't it? It shows where we came from, and if they redo the last scene it will show us where we are going. I hope they keep it in MK but moving it to EPCOT is better than losing it, if it ever came to that. But the chances of that are very slim. I think you are all right when you talk about this is a rumor that won't die.

There are few potential positives that could come from such a move.
For one, it would allow them to construct a larger carousel and therefore have more "slices". For two, it would create a precedent for moving things around instead of completely destroying them. And for three, it would put something that is at least sort of related to the future (or at least progress in the general sense) in Future World.
I doubt any of the above will actually happen, but it's not the worst thing in the world.

I just can't see CoP in Epcot. It's a staple in MK. it's been there since the World's Fair, and has been there ever since. to me, moving CoP to Epcot becuase it deals with progress/the future is like moving Pirates of the Caribbean to MGM because it has a movie tie-in now. it'd be a bad move

COP should never leave Magic Kingdom. If anything, they should move it to the Galaxy Palace Theater so it can be bigger. Is that theater bigger?mageloff wrote:These rides that look back of the history of where we came from are awesome... they all can't go away!!
