Re: Soarin'
Rumor from Theme Park Productions at WDI is that an Orlando version has been greenlit for production... I believe they are going to release it in a few years to give the attraction more longevity.G2-4T wrote:So I'm curious if anyone else feels they took the cheap route by copying DCA's Soarin' over CA for the new Soarin' in The Land. I was hoping they would make an all new video for this one. The other one is terrific - but why not use the chance to add another great ride rather than just copy? I know - it is easier, cheaper, etc. but it'd still be neat to have done something new...

Personally Florida doesn't hold much for me [swamps, hurricanes, and Disney World are about the only things any of us up here can think of when it comes to Florida...]. There are no real world-famous landmarks like there are in CA [come on - the national parks, SF, LA, San Diego - the list goes on and on]. I would rather see them do something cruising through the countries in World Showcase, that would be a great tie between World Showcase and Future World in my mind.rick-g-tn wrote:OR they could rotate countries through it since it is in Epcot.

I agree. Unless you live near the beach, Florida doesn't have much to offer but orange trees, sugar cane fields, swamps, etc. I miss the midwest.G2-4T wrote:Personally Florida doesn't hold much for me [swamps, hurricanes, and Disney World are about the only things any of us up here can think of when it comes to Florida...]. They'd want to make a film that shows alot of variations in the scenery (forests, landmarks - man made or natural, mountains, etc), so a Florida film may not be the best thing. One of the midwest or northeast would be good. So would the World Showcase idea. But, I think that in making that, it'd be alot like the China and Canada films, except not in Circlevision.
