I like how you always change your saying. What's that picture?

I'd look at sweatshirts, then books and music. you could get 2 cd's or one really good picture book.

Oh okay. You missed the "golden age" of working for TDS then, in a way.

They work just like regular American dollars at WDW.

Since the exchange rate is 1:1, the goal is to get you to "buy" them and then either forget to spend them, save a few as souvenirs, or try to spend them at places that won't take them so you're stuck with them.

My favorite thing to buy is writing pens. I usually get 3 or 4 fun ones and use them at work and home. They make me smile......and they aren't very expensive.

Ooohhh that's a good one. I never thought about that, and I do a lot of writing!

I believe Disney Dollars can be used at most shops, with some exceptions. They might not be valid at some places (especially at the low and high end of things) in the parks and other places on Disney grounds that are not actually run by Disney.

I don't know the details, however, so I'd do some research before trusting me on this one. My data is old and was possibly incorrect in the first place. I've not used the dollars myself.

Disney is quite happy to take to take US currency otherwise, so converting your cash into Disney Dollars is not necessary.

This is the basic premise Disney is working off. Virtually free money for Disney.

what does that have to do with disney dollars??? Gift cards and dollars are two completely diferent things.

disney dollars can be used anywhere in the parks. I sold them when I worked at the Disney Store. At teh msot expensive gift shop, to the popcorn stands.

Gift cards and Disney Dollars are functionally identical, except perhaps for the expiration date on some cards. The point is that Disney sells them for the same reason the cards are so popular -- it's free money.
