I've talked to some people I know and they agree with what's being said here. It's an on going rumor. I was told that there should be a rehab coming up.

A rehab would be nice. COP needs to stay at WDW; it has such a strong link to Walt Disney himself and everything he believed in. It really is a historical artifact.

It's one of those things that they should have a version of in the Smithsonian.

I think the fan base for the COP is probably older and more vocal than those that would prefer an Incredibles ride. Sometimes wholesale change is worth resisting.

COP sort of summarises for me what Tommorowland should be all about.
What the past was like through to a vision of tomorrow may hold for all of us.

The Incredibles is all about a fantasy family. In my opinion it has absolutly nothing to do with a vision of tommorow.

It would be a sad comment on Disney Imagineering if all they can come up with between them for a vision of the future was the Incredibles. :(

By all means refurb and update COP but don't replace it.

I have heard the old skyway building is going to be changed/torn down and a new restaurant put in ints place. I also heard the Galaxy Palace Theater will be going as well. There are rumors swirling concerning the Magic Kingdom getting a new E-ticket and an update to Tomorrowland. I don't know if Tomorrowland will get an e-ticket or not. The e-ticket may go in Fantasyland. Imagineers are working on several blue sky projects which include Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. There are also rumors about the 40th Aniversary. I hope that the Magic Kingdom can be updated, upgraded, and get a few new attractions.

Can you tell your sources? I love to read what they're thinking about doing.

I so hope this is not true, but I must admit that I do fear it may happen in years to come. It's an old favorite of mine!

The galaxy palace theater needs to go. What a waste of space that is. I don't even think I've ever seen a show in there besides high school bands. It's funny that they had that huge theater and still felt the need to build the Tomorrowland Stage (thank gosh that's gone  ).

Cheshire Cat - I absolutely agree with you. I have never seen this space used while I was visiting!

I actually saw it in use once when I was riding on the Peoplemover - you know that part where you look through the windows into the (usually) empty stage? To this day I have no idea what was going on in there, but it was an elaborate singing and dancing number on the stage with, like, fifteen people watching in the audience. Weird stuff.

I think they use it during MVMCP for something. It is a waste of prime real estate, regardless.

Not really the place for it (kinda off topic), and I believe it's been discussed on the site before, but you can find info on the Ticket levels HERE, HERE, and HERE.

I doubt this will be replaced. It is a long time favorite of the parks and came with Walt from the World's Fair. I think if anything, they would put an incredibles attraction in at Disney's Hollywood Studios first. I haven't heard anything and my former roommate is a castmember.
