They have Milo?? Was this recently? If so, I'll have to be on the look out in December.

Did you guys know that 80% of the characters at MGM can be found no where else on property? I learned that little nugget in my Basics class when they were trying to give us things to tell families so that they would understand why they were spending the day at MGM instead of going back to MK.

Hey I like Sully, big fuzzy KITTY!!!
edit: I was just thinking if they want to make a Cars character, can't remember the main characters name right now but heck I saw it once, they should build it on like "push" over in MK's Tomorrowland. have him basically "drive around in the back and talk to guests and mess with kids. The character would be friggin' huge but it would be cool.

They had a nemo character like that at Epcot before. It was like a little robotic nemo that winked and you took pics with it....

They already have some Car Characters "drive" up, They arrive on Streets of America(well more like San Francisco area) and I guess kids can take pictures with them. They always draw a huge crowd

Cool. I'll keep an eye out for him anyway. Maybe reserve an afternoon for character hunting in MGM.

I always kind of noticed that but I didn't realize it was something 'official' (I figured I just didn't pay that much attention otherwise

). That's interesting though. I guess it's easier to have random movie characters walking around the movie park that it is to explain why Lilo and Stitch are on Main Street.

Yea the Ninja Turtle show was great, I died when I met Donatello (he was my favorite).
So today I worked Morocco and I just had to focus on the Trash Runs. My shift was from 230-130 and it dragged thru some of the day but picked up near the end of the day. This weekend, their asking a bunch of people if they want to come in early so tomorrow and Sunday, I'm working 1pm-1am. I might regret it later but i will enjoy it come payday. It works out though since my best friend is visiting me in 2 weeks so I will probably spend a lot more money when he visits.
One note I have to say about the busy days, It is so hard to move the banana boat down the path without hitting people when it is so busy. I hate when people stop out of nowhere KNOWING that there is a big banana boat behind them, or the people that cut across you at the last second (that really irrirates me). Then finally, trying to cross traffic is such a pain, it's like playing chicken when trying to cross a busy street.

Oh man, the banana boat. I'm a small person, and seriously, if the thing is overfull, and the the lid is just on for decency purposes, I can't see over it. So I have to look to the side of the cart to see where I'm going.
The only hill I remember at MGM is the one near ToT. Definitely not fun. Doing the bullet cans inside the queue is even worse.

Today I worked from 1pm to 1am. Talk about a long day with lots of walking. It's been real busy on weekends cus of Food & Wine so their looking for all the help they can handle. Well I thought I did my job well especially considering the Head Manager of World Showcase Custodial was the closing manager (bascially the manager's manager) because I believe the President of Walt Disney World Resort was supposed to be visiting today. Well my assignment for the day was Odyssey Bridges/Rosewalk, what I didnt know was that the bridges also includes the 4 trash cans on the bridge when you first enter World Showcase.
I had those trash cans under another assignment so I persume that they were someone else's trash cans so I didnt pull them all day. One of the Coordinators talked to me after the night was over and I told him that I had no idea and he believed me that I just misunderstood. I'm glad I have a good rep or else I couild have gotten into trouble but I'm usually working all the time ESPECIALLY when it's busy as it was today.
Tomorrow I work another 1pm-1am. I hope the Red Sox win tomorrow night and hope the game goes until at least 12:45 so I can catch the end of it if the Red Sox are winning! Watching the games reminds me of home and real COLD weather lol, not the cold weather that we have been experiencing right now in Disney.

Sounds like an understandable mistake; I'm glad the person who talked to you was reasonable about it. I'm curious though why no one noticed/said anything during your whole shift? I don't really know how the management structure there works or anything, but isn't there someone kinda ... supervising during shifts? Or maybe I'm misunderstanding and someone did eventually notice/tell you and then they just talked to you again after? It just seems odd to me they'd let it go for 12 hours without anyone going 'hey who's supposed to be doing that?'.

I believe a bullet can is just a trash barrell on wheels. It's easy to manuever through tight areas.
And I didn't have a radio on me through half the day so I guess they just had someone else take care of those trash cans.
