It really doesn't have to have anything to do with your major, so don't worry. A front line position at WDW isn't training for much of anything, it's just an experience.texaspitfire wrote:I've always wanted to do the college program, but I don't think it would help my major at all (History). Is there anything I could do?

Hmm. Any semester can get pretty busy. I did mine in the Spring, and left just about as it got really busy. But then there are always conventions and extra magic hours.
On your application and in your interview you can request attractions- it's always available.
The program didn't help my major at all. In fact, I did it to get away from school.

That's true, unless you extend the program or are there for at least 6 months. My roommate was able to change her position during registration- not sure what she had to go through for that, though.yodiwan1 wrote:even though you request what u want u may get something else, and once they offer you a position u can't ask for another. Its take it or leave it. That was my onlu problem, i got stuck in custodial.

I went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party last night for the first time. Hallowishes and the Parade were good. It was awesome seeing the villians out and being able to take a picture with them. My favorite picture was with Frollo from Hunchback of Notre Dame since I've never seen him in the parks!

I was a geek, it was something cheap that I could afford!
The Queen of Hearts loved me because I said "Your Majesty" and bowed down to her:

Even the Mad Hatter was out!

And finally, I ran into all my Custodial Friends who I work with at EPCOT:

To answer some of your questions:
If you work Fall Program: It's busy from August to Labor Day then it dies down ALOT from Labor day to Early October (Best time to visit the parks). If you work in EPCOT, it is busy from the start of Food & Wine to the end of Food & Wine. But even the other parks have been busy especially for the Columbus Day Weekend and the Halloween Parties.
And my major is Computer Information Systems. It doesn't really matter what major you are, only for Professional Internships does it really matter. In the College Program, you are bascially working a part time job while taking a class (or not taking a class like me) while living down here with roommates.
