Which track(s) 'grew on you'?

Post by DisBeamer » Oct Fri 19, 2007 4:18 am

We have some threads about songs you love to see in the queue and songs you dread seeing there, and it makes me curious if there are any that you initially couldn't stand but grew to like?

For myself, off the top of my head America Sings stands out as one I used to tune out but now enjoy. I never saw the attraction (at least, to my recollection) so it doesn't hold any memories for me, and the 'pop goes the weasel' part drove me nuts (actually it still does...). But it grew on me with time and now I like it when it comes on. Not to the point I'd request it, but hey, it's something.

So, anyone else out there learn to enjoy a track they didn't like to start? What changed your mind about it?

I originally hated the Frito Kid track, now it's one of my favorites... not sure what triggered the change...

Mo'Rockin and Off Kilter are both the opposite... tracks I really liked the first dozen or so times, that I now hit "mute" on my Mac keyboard whenever they come on...

I have to say that this is one that has grown on me too. When I first listened to it I thought "geez could this be more irritating, the whales, the water churning, the bubbles, etc. how else could this track make me have to pee!!! But I have to say after listening to it on the background stream at least once every time I turn it on I have come to enjoy it. And I make sure I go to the bathroom too! :D

Jungle Cruise. I like the one with Kevin the best. I'm not sure why I didn't like it to begin with, but now I smile when I see it in the queue.

The Illuminations Tracks def grew on me. Sometimes I wont be able to go on a day without requesting it but things have changed since then since I'm able to see it every night (sorry to brag!)
