I don't think there's anything wrong with classifying a parking lot tram as an attractionyodiwan1 wrote:thats like saying the tram that takes the guests to teh parking lot is an attraction.

You have to pay to get into the parking lot don't you? And how many parking lots in the world have a tram, so it (IMHO) is an attraction. People fly, drive, bike many miles just to ride the monorail but technically it isn't an attraction because it is part of the transportation system. Yes it is true that most people don't go to the parks just to ride the tram, but does that make it less exciting than riding the Monorail. I think it is an attraction if you want it to be, or not if you don't want it to be.

Honestly, I have no idea why a concrete definition is required. Rides are attractions, shows are attractions, movies are attractions... whatever you go to Disney to do or see is basically an attraction.yodiwan1 wrote:can someone please tell me then what the definition of an attraction is in this circumstance? I really thought it was somethign that was inside the park which you pay admission for.

If that's truly the definition, I probably should have put Japan in my list, but I don't want to screw up the record keeping.
The monorail is essentially the People Mover of FutureWorld. That extra loop through the attractions isn't functional, it's just cool and it's designed to impress. There's also narration, adding more to the "show". However, I wouldn't have added it if someone else hadn't put it in their list and made me think of it.
I found some info on the Stilt Birds. Their official name is "Cirikli", which is a Turkish thing, but I dunno if they're actually a Turkish act.
At that site, you can see them performing at some depressingly un-Disney-like locations, so I guess they are basically mercenary entertainers and not an official Disney creation, but they were awesome.
Their promotional materials don't really do them justice. They were fascinating to watch. At the time, one of their "shepherds" was super hot and could balance on almost anything and would walk along fences and such at the park, leading the birds along with her staff. It really looked like the riders were only just barely in charge of the birds, who had distinct personalities and absolutely loved to frighten small children and harass tourists with cameras. Great show.

Man, I hadn't thought about those things in years. They were really cool, in a disturbing kind of way.Captain Schnemo wrote:I found some info on the Stilt Birds. Their official name is "Cirikli", which is a Turkish thing, but I dunno if they're actually a Turkish act.
I forgot about the candy artist in Japan as an 'attraction' (since we're talking whatever you go to Epcot to see). She should probably be in my top ten somewhere. I love watching that show.
I love the parking lot tram! It's one of the few outside breezes you get while in WDW, besides maybe Test Track on the high speed run. The tram is an attraction to me and personally it's part of the whole experience leading up to the fun to come!

Good call. That is some quality entertainment right there.DisBeamer wrote:I forgot about the candy artist in Japan as an 'attraction' (since we're talking whatever you go to Epcot to see). She should probably be in my top ten somewhere. I love watching that show.
Do they still have the African drummers in that neutral area by the Coke station? Those guys were great.
