Favorite souvenier to purchase?

Post by AKLRULZ » May Wed 04, 2005 9:01 am

So what is your favorite souvenier to pick up on your trips? We collect Christmas ornaments from the resorts, refillable mugs and I always get a baseball cap from the resort we stay at. My kids love pins and my wife always gets a fleece pullover.

I always buy the souvenier popcorn bucket. when I get home, it holds exactly one bag of microwaved popcorn that I usually smuggle into the movies.

The cheapest souvenier/gift to bring back is the individual soaps from China. Last I bought were only $1.00 each.

I always get a new watch for me. I also get an ornament & magnet for my son everywhere we go on vacation. I plan to save them for him & when he is older & ready to move out, give them to him. That way, he will have memories of our great trips & not have to buy decorations.

The question is what I DON'T buy!!!!

Mugs, cards, hats, watches, housewears you name it I buy it.

If I had to pick one that I must buy its a t-shirt(s). I usually walk away with about 7-10 of them.

Which explains why I have like 100 t-shirts

I guess my favorite would also have to be those darn Disney coffee mugs. They're addicting! My cabinet is jammed too! I pick a different one every day and use the Osborne Festival of Lights mug at Christmas time. We have to get ATLEAST one mug every visit. I think we'll have to get a display cabinet to house them all pretty soon! :D

Music CD's. I like the music. Which is probably obvious since I listen to, request and post on Subsonic Radio.

Before they were no more, I tried to buy a ride attraction poster each visit. Unfortunitly they were a little pricey, and sometimes had to go home with out them. I have a few, some still packed away. On my walls right now in my living room I have Alice tea cup ride poster, Big Thunder Mountain, and the haunted mansion. I have packed away Splash mountain. I miss those posters. I always wanted to buy the TomorrowLand poster, and the Pirates.

My favorite and cheapest souvenier would have to be "squished pennies" :goofy_bounce:

Another thing besides any posters or cool signs that I buy from the Magic Kingdom is fudge! It's become some kind of tradition. We always stop and get that special buy five get one free or whatever it is this week. Of course.. maybe that doesn't count as a souvenir cause we eat it. Then we have nothing to show for it.

I like to buy the photo of our whole family on one of the rides. It is nice to have a picture of us in the moment to take home.
