Epcot updates
Another bit of news from my trip...
WOL is still boarded over of course. Living Seas has the new Nemo theming but that is covered in another posting.
The Land lost the front walkway already in the construction, the pavement is gone but the classic sign is there still. The Soarin' building is ugly, with any luck they'll find a way to hide it. I only hope they don't screw up the inside of The Land too much, the hot air balloons and food court were great.
The Millenium Village was in use for a RV dealer convention, no idea what is back in there now but they were streaming in and out of there.
Illuminations is better, it still doesn't compete with the older shows in my mind though. They seemed to have changed pieces to bring it higher and make it more visable. They still use that globe a lot which is tough for most anyone to really see, esp. if there were crowds.
There is more entertainment around the WS, very good to see. El Rio del Tiempo was down for a few days when I was there but is back now after what sounded like a quick maintenance/cleaning blitz. China's newer movie is good but still seems to be lacking something that I just can't place. And Canada's move needs a serious update, over 22 years old now and it really shows! Maybe it is just since I've been around Canada enough times that I can notice it but there are pieces that are quite dated.
And lines were huge all over Epcot, a whopping 15 minutes was the longest wait for anything, the rest was pretty much all walk-on.

If you want to ride Test Track any time, just go on the highway with your car and stick your head out the window. Same effect.

You can finish the worthwhile rides in about 2-3 hours. Safari, Kali, Dinosaur, Tough To Be A Bug & Primevil Whirl(not even that great of a ride).rick-g-tn wrote:We don't even go over there noe except sometimes for the Donald Duck Character breakfast which is really good food. Or at least it use to be. With budget cuts, who knows.
