Has anyone been on the updated ride yet? If so, please add your review of the ride.

We just got back last night, and we were there for the opening. I have some pictures that I will post links for shortly. I have to resize them and put them onto photobucket, first.

Overall, I thought the improvements were awesome. The stretch room looks much cleaner. The audio is clearer, but to me, it sounded more like wind blowing in the room than it did him moving around me, as it was supposed to be.

They changed the portraits to be a bit more like Disneyland. There are four on the right with lightning coming through windows on the left to distort the pictures.

The staircases are AWESOME. Much better than the giant spider webs. We had been saying for years how they desperately needed to change this section, and it was worth the wait. Maybe I have eagle eyes or something, but I was able to see the mirrors that make the it happen on the left side. One is excessively wavy.

Leota's floating ball was really cool. Nothing too drastic, here.

The attic scene is cool. But, I am personally unimpressed with the new bride. I think she looks a lot more awkward than she does creepy. Her face and hands, especially, look like they were flattened out.

I am SO mad about the graveyard scene. One of the main things I was looking forward to with this renovation was the clean-up of the screen. While they cleaned the gum and gunk off of it, they didn't fix the rips, tears, and waves in it. Could they not have replaced it?

Okay, I'll get the picture links up shortly...

Okay, here are some pictures of the updated stuff. I don't promise that they're very good. I tried not to take many flash pictures, so it was pretty much one chance at the shot for me (even though we rode it about 10 times :) ).

Thanks for the pics SWHorn. It looks like they copied DL in everything except the staircase. It must be awesome in the dark.

Yes, SWHorn, thanks a lot for the pictures. I'm sorry I had to miss the HM when I was there in July, but it looks like the changes were worth it. It gives me just one more reason to go back. (as if I needed any more reasons)

!!!

I'm managing to keep myself from looking at the pictures (so far - I don't have -that- long to wait before I can see them), as I want to see it for the first time in person, but I didn't realize the staircases replaced the stuuuuuupid spiderwebs. For some reason I thought it was earlier in the ride.

I may have to look at the pictures now to see the ride now - it's possible that I will die of happiness when we pass the staircase part and I'll never see the rest.

Has anyone put together any photos of what has been lost? The new changes look quite good (much more agreeable to me than the Pirates changes), but I'm curious to see what's missing.

As lame as the spider webs were, those were really the only things that seriously creeped me out on the ride. I have a thing about spiders, though. And I certainly wouldn't try to defend them, especially relative to those cool staircases.

Resisted the pics.....for now.

Have they really done nothing to the graveyard but a quick tidy up?

I like this part of the ride but it was looking a bit worn out last time through. :(

Awesome pics! Thanks! The only reason I looked at them is because it will be sometime before will be able to experience the new Haunted Mansion. But now I can't wait.

I went on the updated version last Saturday and let me tell you, it was amazing! The outside looks great. But I was amazed with the updates that were made. For the first time since I was five, I was actually scared! The stretching room has new audio added which is amazing and the updated attic scene was just chilling. I was freaked out during that scene. Overall just a great update! :D

For those that have been on the new HM, are the lines now longer since they've updated this attraction?!

They were the first day or two, but then they died down back to normal quickly. Depends on the time, but I wouldn't expect a HUGE difference in the line.
