Once you use a good disney travel agent, you wont ever go back
Or, like me, you refer so much business to your travel agent based on the service you received that she ultimately suggests you join the agency yourself - and you do! :D
Or that. I haven't quite gotten to that point....yet :P

One thing I will say about Small World... I know people have good experiences with them, and that they're probably very good at what they do, so I can't (and wouldn't) disparage their service. That said, my husband requested a quote from them (can't remember why as we've always done our own bookings) and they kept emailing him back for -a year-, literally, until we moved and lost that email address. As far as I know, they're still emailing him 'updates' and offers to act on his quote, etc, despite his request that they stop. So 'no obligation' may be true, but that doesn't mean they won't keep bothering you the rest of your life. Just something to be aware of if you want to try them but might not go with 'em.

I used MJ before I began using MEV and then of course I became affiliated with MEV. MJ, specifically Jean, was always fantastic to me and I would absolutely recommend them to someone if I couldn't help. :D

What you're describing above is called a "code watch" and every agent doing their job should be doing this for their clients under deposit AND on vacation hold. The new code that was released for the Oct - Dec special saved people a ton of money and most agencies like mine, MY and SW will code watch. Always ask about this when booking your trip with any agency - if they won't code watch it, find one that will.

My folks, who are DVC members and go to WDW 1-2 times per year (not an easy feat from California!) and have been for the last decade, were SHOCKED to hear the price Steve could get my wife and I on our trip this December, since we're not DVC members, Florida residents, AP holders, or Disney VISA cardholders, or any of the other normal "privileged" types Disney gives discounts/deals to.

Sure, some of it is timing, but there's no way I would have gotten that deal on my own (A1 I wouldn't have known about it!)... thanks Steve!

No, that discount was, indeed, available to the anyone and every agency licensed to sell Disney travel. So those who code watch would have (should have) applied it to their clients under deposit and on hold. :D

Hey gang, just wanted to let you know of a cool new rollout we've done at CCE/MEV which is a rewards based program where you earn points for each travel dollar.

If interested check it out here: http://www.cruisingco.com/rewards.php - it's a pretty fun thing. :D

We have gone twice through Small World Vacations, and we couldn't be happier! Deanna, our TA was wonderful on both occasions, very accomodating...As a matter of fact, we are going to use her again next year. It comes in handy to use one because 1. its free, 2. they take care of all of the ADRs if you need them, and I know for us, she bent over backwards to get us the absolute best deal she could. and 3. you can always ask questions day or night, and you will usually get a response within 24 hours.

I wouldn't do it any other way!
I believe you are assigned a TA when you fill out the form online, depending on where you live...

Good luck, and have fun planning. :D

Theres another place called Dream Come True Vacations which I hear about all the time on the "Inside The Magic" podcast. Has nyone here ever used them? Ive been wanting to try them out on my first ever WDW trip.

www.dreamcometruevacations.com

Then again, when I hear about the deal that 'spaulo' got..i may just try out 'AKLRULZ' company instead.

P.S. AKLRULZ ---> Can you pm me with your info so i can get in contact with you?
