I only do the Splash Mountain / Pirates type water rides anyway, so it's a non-issue. I don't like the rides like Kali that soak you thoroughly.

I don't wear ponchos. Period.

I was brought up with my dad's slogan, "If you don't want to get wet, don't go on the ride." Of course, it was directed more to my mom than us kids. I really don't undertsnad what the big deal is with walking around wet for a few hours, especially if you're in a theme park. I don't even mind walking around in the rain while everyone else is running for cover with long, yellow, plastic bags in their wake. :P

I'd wear a raincoat on a water ride before I'd wear a poncho.

I guess its the difference between being wet and being like you've been thrown into a swimming pool while fully clothed!

No what is the point, but I do take a change of clothes and a plastic bag to put my wet clothes in if I need.

This is exactly it.

All of the rides you get wet on are clearly marked with signs saying "You may get wet" (for values of "may" that are equal to "will"). There's no point complaining that you can't go on a ride because you don't want to get wet. Getting wet is part of the experience of the ride. Not getting wet on Splash would take away part of the story and overall experience.

And.. What's so worrying about getting wet anyway? The water doesn't hurt, and it's part of the fun, which is no doubt why you're at the Disney park anyway - to have fun. It's not like you'll look out of place being wet anyway, there'll be countless other people wandering round in damp clothes because they've been on the ride too.

Not a chance!! If you're going to put a poncho on before you get on a ride that's supposed to get you wet, just skip the ride and let the rest of us move through the line quicker.

Never here as well. Also follow the lesson don't go on if you don't want to get wet. My wife and I will skip it if we are that concerned about it. And with Florida weather, sometimes that water feels a might bit relaxing.
