Okay here goes...
So adam and I had 12 hours in Disneyland. We only missed one attraction I really wanted to see.
I would see things that are not at WDW first and then rides that are at WDW but are different.
Not at WDW include things like the Matterhorn, Alice in Wonderland, Mr Toads, Pinochio, Nemo Sub Ride (3 hour waits, skip this), Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin.
DO NOT MISS INDIANA JONES. Get a fast pass first thing for this.
Different between WDW and DLR:
Space Mountain: DLR's space mountain makes WDW SM look very childish. DLR SM is spectacular. DO NOT MISS
Tiki Room: This is the original Tiki room designed and scripted by Walt. not the under new mgmt crap WDW has.
Big Thunder MTN: Better at DLR and you get to see parts of the original rainbow ridge mine trains. It also is faster then WDW.
Pirates: Pirates at WDW is a joke. I hate to say this but it truly is. Once you have ridden Pirates at DLR you will see what I mean.
Haunted Mansion: DLR has been upgraded with some great new effects and scenes.. Worth the watch. And the elevator actually goes down. .and the mansion looks like a mansion.
Those are the rides that have the biggest differences. Enjoy your time and if you are good you can hit everything in a short amount of time. Some of the other rides are different such as Jungle Cruise but not enough to be a DONT MISS situation.
DLR is very small compared to MK and easy to move around.

Just got back!
I think the thing the stood out to me the most was how much smaller and closer everything was together in Disneyland compared to Disney World. Like how you could walk to Frontierland to Tomorrowland with no problems, lol. Also how much some of the rides differed. I thought splash mountain moved quicker in DL. Also I can see how you mean Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain were much more intense compared to WDW. I had a really great time. Thanks of all of the advice.

I think both, I liked how it was close and you could walk back and fourth between the parks, you could say, "lets go to ThunderMountain and then say lets go on SpaceMountain, and be like Ok." But I do like how WDW is a little more spacious and things do not seem so on top of each other.danimal3114u wrote:It's great to hear you enjoyed yourself. It's interesting that the closeness/intimacy for the park is what stood out the most. Do you think you saw that as a plus (your lower body can survive the day), or a negative (tends to make it a little more crowded)?

Make sure you dont miss some of the special personal touches that are not found in Floridas MK. For example, Snow White's Wishing Well, The party line phones inside the Market House. The Storybookland cannal boats. The Disney Gallery above Pirates of the Carribbean, and the ORIGINAL Tiki Room. And Dont Miss the Small World Clock, Much nicer seen in an outdoor setting. I also recommend riding the Disneyland Rail Road from the Tomorrowland station to the Main Street Station, so you will not miss the Grand Canyou Diarama and Primevil World.

Yes Sadly it has, one of my favorite places to go and hang out with my brother. We would always see the same CM's there and I think they knew us by the end. Sadly I got to DL the very day they closed the Gallery so I didn't even get to go in and savor it. You know I thought it would always be there, and now..............
