Is Magic Journeys secretly playing in the Magic Kingdom?

Post by BirdandRobot » Aug Mon 27, 2007 12:50 pm

I came across a website that claims that the old 3D show Magic Journeys is still being shown in the Magic Kingdom. Here's a link to the website:

http://www.solarius.com/dvp/wdw/magic-journeys.htm

According to them, "Magic Journeys is a 3-d film viewed through polarising glasses, which is shown in a small cinema located to the left as you pass below the Cinderellas Castle Archway. As a result it's easily missed, and is frequently overlooked by visitors to The Magic Kingdom." My initial thought was that the website hadn't been updated for a while, since I know that Legend of the Lion King replaced the show in 1993. However, what's crazy is that Legend of the Lion King is listed as an extinct attraction while Magic Journeys is not. Does anybody know what the deal is? Is Magic Journeys being shown in some hidden theater? I honestly would love to see the film again.

Maybe they're refering to Philharmagic? It says something about donald and other disney characters. Maybe they missed the memo that the new show is called Philharmagic? If this is the case they're overlooking how overlooked it is.

I can't picture where it means. All I can think of as you pass through Cinderella Castle (going from Central Plaza to Fantasyland) on the left is the shop selling expensive stuff..

The fact it mentions that the show involves Donald getting himself into trouble again points to Philharmagic, however it also mentions a live action part. I doubt they'd have something like that playing that doesn't appear on the park guides or the website, I think it's referring to Philharmagic.

Philharmagic doesn't appear on that website's list of attractions, leading me to believe that it's simply a matter of the site being rather out of date.

Must be a typo since, as acp said, the description really doesn't make any sense.

Actually I think they are talking about the Donald Duck/Chip & Dale 3D short Working for Peanuts, which used to be shown in the queue area of Magic Journeys.

I was excited there for a sec, I saw Magic Journeys when I was a kid and miss it very much. But your right the description is not making sense so must be out of date.

Yeah, I don't remember that either. But then again, I was 9 when I saw "Magic Journeys" so that might explain it too.
