I don't think Dreamfinder will come back to Epcot. He has found a new gig as a King! as you can see below....Dreamfinder is still around!

Oh my...

Why'd you have to go and do that? Now I'll never look at Dreamfinder the same way again.

Looks like Epcot will have a celebration after all:
mouseplanet.com wrote:Epcot 25 celebration to take place next Monday

After months of denying that there would be any official public recognition of Epcot's 25th anniversary next Monday, Walt Disney World is now planning a rededication ceremony and other events to commemorate the park, which opened on October 1, 1982. Disney's plans were perhaps spurred in part by the huge response to the "Celebration 25" event created by 16-year-old local fan Adam Roth, and to a smaller event called "The Epcot Thing" created by Nathan Rose. The fact that several hundred people were willing to travel to attend an unofficial event helped convince Disney to involve the "Celebration 25" group in the official rededication ceremony that takes place at the Fountain of Nations plaza behind Spaceship Earth.
In addition to the 10:01 a.m. ceremony—which echoes the park's original dedication ceremony—Epcot is installing a special exhibit in the south corridor of Innoventions West near the character greeting location, distributing commemorative buttons to all park guests, and adding a special ending tag for the evening's showing of Illuminations. The tag will feature well-known Epcot music and the voice of Walt Disney, most likely from "The Epcot Film," and will include perhaps as many shells in the closing seconds as the show's entire holiday tag.

"Retro" guidebooks, menus and other souvenirs will also be involved in the event. The Innoventions exhibit will be in place through at least the end of the year; we'll bring you photos from the exhibit in the October 8 Park Update.

Also, park guests will have the opportunity to chat with Imagineering Ambassador Marty Sklar in the Circle of Life Theater inside The Land pavilion, though seating will be limited. World Showcase restaurants will also get into the act, providing menus reminiscent of the original 1982 menus. It will be interesting to see how that integrates with the opening week of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

Despite that, much of Disney's focus remains on cast-oriented events, as originally planned. The 300 opening-day cast members who still work there will be recognized, and other giveaways, decorations and celebrations are also involved.
I find it sad that its such a small celebration of such an important milestone. I find it even sadder, that, if true, Disney only planned the rededication due to the local fan uprising...

Ugh. I would hate to have the coveted Le Cellier ADRs for this week. That's one place that should -not- revisit what its original menu was like. *shudder* It'd be nice if they used prices reminiscent of the 1982 menus though. ;)

Wow. I'm impressed there are still 300 opening-day CMs there. I hope they do something nice for them; 25 years is a long time.

I was there for an hour this morning (before a race against the clock to get back to The Magical Express in time) and managed to get a few pics of the new innoventions gallery. Everyone that went to the park today got a 25th anniversary pin and a park map with the famouse "The future begins/began october 1st" image with the opening day map on the reverse side. The gallery was sort of small. It was one room with limited capacity, and it was mostly just vintage photos that can be found online. The SSE model from One Man's Dream was moved here too. I did like the mini-model Dreamcatcher and the robot from Horizons though. There were also a few World Showcase models. I asked MouseGear if they were selling any special merchandise, and to my surprise, there was only a couple watches and the original figment plush (which nearly everyone in my family already has lol). I thought Disney would have put more money into the merchandise than anything else; it would have sold like hot cakes. I found the crowds to be split evenly between Disney nerds like us and "OTHERS" who knew nothing about epcot. One "1st time visitor" (lol, I love how they give out those pins now so everyone knows) was almost crucified for shouting "Horizons looks boring, Mission:Space is the best". Despite many rumors, I doubt they'll be changing the name back to "epcot center" anytime soon. They're beginging to use the original font "prototype community font" anywhere they use the word "epcot" however they only use "epcot center" sparingly and when refering the opening day "epcot". The epcot center icon is making a comeback however :D . Anyway... here are some pics... (There's also a few from WoL sinse it was opened for the food and wine festival)

(I hope a good videographer manages to get a video of the 25th anniversary IllumiNations. It supposedly has more fireworks in the finale than the entire holiday version)

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g101/ ... 2_1846.jpg

...After talking with one JII cast member that morning, I began to realize: The question isn't "Do you miss any of the original epcot pavilions?", it's, "Which ones do you miss the most?"

Thanks!!! Sorry about the hotlink, didn't know I needed permission first, I will ask in future now that I know. By the way I love your site. My brother found out about it a few days ago and told me about it, and I have been there ever since reading and looking at pictures.

P.S. sorry but I voted for all of the above for the photo walk
