I just wish they could have started the rehab earlier in order to have it open for the 25th. It isn't going to be the same without a ride on it.

It was the first attraction I ever experienced at WDW, so I hope they don't completely change it. Updating the final scenes and improving upon the others is fine, just don't change the entire message.

Just as long as it's open by Jan so I can have a good look see. Perhaps take a recorder for the new music/narration.

There's a screen on test track? In the car?

Yeah, if memory serves (and that's doubtful these days) there is. It's on the "dash board" in the front and shows some stats about the tests you're doing. Someone help me out -- am I having memory additions?

Nope, you've basically got it. They just show some images and graphs related to your current test. I enjoy it on Test Track and hopefully it will work as nicely on SE.

Wonder what they'd show on SE. Anyone know if it's still going to be the history of communications? I don't know what Siemans does so I wonder if they're going to change it to whatever the focus of their company is? But if they do leave it communications, I wonder what they'd show on the screen. Might be nice to see some examples of hieroglyphics (sp?). I imagine the Rosetta stone would be flashed ont he screen at some point. We could also see some more of Disney's films. I'm braindead right now (need coffee) so I don't know what else there would be but I wonder what it would be?

Siemens is a communication company. They do have other divisions, but I don't think they will be re-theming SSE completely. Sounds like Siemens wants most of the changes for the second half of the ride, which makes sense since that was really just an AT&T promo...

Was just thinking that its odd that AT&T dropped sponsorship with SSE. AT&T logo is a globe, just seems like it was a perfect marriage...

WEll, I guess it's all about the money. If they're not seeing any kind of ROI, I can't see any company continuing.

I'm really hoping they don't change the narration. I love Jeremy Irons voice -- I have a couple of audiobooks with him reading and they're just wonderful.

There is something so soothing about coming out of the hot Florida sun into the airconditioned dark Spaceship Earth and listening to that voice.

Or does that sound strange?

So not only is there going to be something new for me to look at on SSE but there is something new (for me anyway) on TT.

Seems perfectly normal to me; he has a very pleasant voice and excellent, dramatic delivery. I don't think it matters if you're male or female.

Nah.... every now and again we mommies make mistakes. We just don't admit it.

Well, there's always crawling into someone's suitcase, I guess. Don't ask me.... I just got back from Orlando (couldn't do the parks but hung out in DTD) and I'm trying to figure out how long it'll be before I get back :-)

Sorry to tell you this, but the current rumor is they are replacing the score and narration.
Enhancements to the time-travel attraction will encompass changes to each of the ride scenes. New show scenes will be added to the attraction's story along with new lighting effects, costumes, set decoration, narration and musical score.
You can read more about the rumors in this post:

That is a long thread... after the starting point I gave you there are rumors of who is going to do the new narration.
