With the way this is going, I'm a little surprised Disney hasn't picked up on it. We've had a Pal Mickey since they've came out. I'm sure we'd have different characters if Disney made them.

I'm surprised by that too. I'm sure alot of people would buy multiple dolls if available. I know I would.

That would be soooo cool !!! And make them interactive with each other. I've had one since it first came out. You should see the looks I get. A full grown man carrying a doll. The "Story", from a Disney Podcast about Pal Mickey (which was pretty interesting) was there was talk about having a whole "Line" of Pal X toys (Mickey, Minnie, Pooh...) But they made the call that WDW is Mickey's home, and it was up to him to show people around. So at this point I don't think they will move forward with any other "Pals".
Also from the podcast, they said early version of what became Pal Mickey looked like a Blackberry. But that wasn't "Disney" enough.
I wish they would start deploying Pal Mickey to the ships and the other resorts.

Well, it makes sense, then, for them not to expand the line. I would love to have a Pal Donald, though. However, it's so hard to hear Pal Mickey in the parks sometimes, I can't imagine the difficulty of figuring out what Donald was saying half the time.

This pas week during our trip it was possible to buy different outfits for Mickey. So, while Mickey was the only availabale option, you could dress him for any occasion.jcodirewolf wrote:The "Story", from a Disney Podcast about Pal Mickey (which was pretty interesting) was there was talk about having a whole "Line" of Pal X toys (Mickey, Minnie, Pooh...) I've thought about a Pal Mickey in the past but I have reservations. First, the cost -- isn't it about $60? Then, I wonder if I'd actually hear him when he started saying something. I can't even hear my cell phone ring in the parks sometimes (often depending on how busy it is). Also, what does he do once you get home? Now if they could figure out a way that he could be updated and tell me things about what's going on at the parks even if I'm at home, that might make it worth it. Talk about a magnificent "forum"!!

I have one and once you get home you can play park trivia questions or get him to repeat some of those silly joes he tells in the park. I bought mine s few years ago and take him back on every visit. Of couse my wife thinks I's strange walking around with a Mickey cliped to my belt. Also, what does he do once you get home?

Well as for dressing pal mickey. yep he even has his own section of my gallery.
http://www.direwolf.com/gallery/gallery ... emId=10442
He also travels everywhere with us. He has been to Notre Dame games, and Paris, and DLRP, and on the cruise ship, World of Disney in NYC...
As far as hearing him in the park goes... Once in a while it's a problem. But he vibrates, like a cell phone when he has something to say, and will repeat himself if you trigger him with in 8 seconds of him saying something.
