Definitely going to have to give this a try next time I'm there. Any idea what part of I-Drive it's on (other than across from the Bass Pro Shop)? I think I definitely want to give it a shot. Thanks!Jacca5660 wrote:If you want real bargains go to the Disney Character outlet store in the mall across the street from the Bass Pro shop on international drive. It's in Orlando, you get off I4 as if you were going to Wet and Wild. Make a left on that ( the one that Wet and Wild is on) corner and follow it till it dead ends the mall will be on your left.Hypermommy wrote:Definitely going to have to give this a try next time I'm there. Also, if you want some Disney bargins and some unusual finds, and if you have a car, visit Mouse Surplus. www.mousesurplus.com. They take all of the old furniture and attraction stuff from the parks. Also, from time to time you can find out dated clothes and merchandise that you can't even find at the outlet. Some may be slightly damaged, or need a little cleaning, but it's worth the trip. If nothing else by to see all of the old ride vehicles that they have.

I couldn't open the link. I got a "you are not authorized to view this webpage with the credentials you supplied". That's a first, never seen that message before.ralberts wrote:Also, if you want some Disney bargins and some unusual finds, and if you have a car, visit Mouse Surplus. www.mousesurplus.com. MouseSurplus looks like quite a fun place.
There's another very cheap Disney shop for Cast Members to go in the service area behind the Magic Kingdom where they put all the outdated stuff and old stuff from the parks. Lots and lots of cheap stuff in there. You have to be a cast member to go in, though. A friend of mine bought a PAL Mickey in there for less than $5 because its box was torn.. If memory serves, they sell CDs and things for $1 for silly things like the case is cracked, etc. When I was there in November, they had all the Happiest Celebration clothing and stuff in there really cheap.

Quick route. I4 East to exit 75A for Universal towards SR-435 South International Drive / Wet and Wild.Hypermommy wrote:Any other directions as to where this place is? Turn Right at Universal Boulevard following the signs for SR-435 South International Drive / Wet and Wild. (one intersection I think)
Turn Left onto International Drive. Follow International Drive for about a mile or so and, just before it comes to and end, The Bass Pro Shop is on your right and the outlet mall you want is on the Left. (Parts of it were undergoing some serious refurb during Feb this year so I hope it is open).
Slow route. Epcot Centre Drive (536) out of WDW Past the Marriot Hotel, straight on past the Caribe Royal Hotel, then Turn Left onto International Drive South. Keep going straight on past Sea World, past the turning for Universal until you see the Bass Pro shop on your right. Then as above.
It about 12 miles or so from WDW. Happy Shopping.

I think it's located in the Pooh store and before the Christmas store. It looks kind of like an alley actually between to stores. It's true a lot of it is junk but its that cute Disney collectors junk. But I have bought several items there that quite nice. Mouse pad, picture frames, a thing for my desk that holds files/papers...

As mentioned, a lot of it is stuff that can be found around WDW for the same price, but it is nice if you want a sort of central place to find little souvenirs for people back home and whatnot. I love the grab bags though, and last time I was there they had a bunch of stuff (some reg. priced $12) on sale 4 for $10.

I love the grab bags too. Last time I was down there I ended up getting two grab bags. I can't resist the surprise of what is in the bag.briar_rose_59 wrote:As mentioned, a lot of it is stuff that can be found around WDW for the same price, but it is nice if you want a sort of central place to find little souvenirs for people back home and whatnot. In one bag I got looseleaf paper with a picture of Mickey Skateboarding, stickers, a Test Track magnet and a folded up face cloth that you add water to and it expands.Blackie Pueblo wrote:Ok, I know I'm cheating, but what did you all get in your grab bags?
The other one had another facecloth, a pencil, a tinkerbell note pad and pen, and an antenna topper of the Cinderella Castle.
