Can't argue with that!

I have heard old interviews of Ric Flair claiming that girls call him Space Mountain because he will take him places where I probably shouldn't say on here but to be on wikipedia is just lame.
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

That's a pity that the entry got by. Most Wikipedia articles are actually fairly accurate, at least according to my old computer graphics teacher. I guess it depends on what articles you are reading on the site. Obviously, since Disney is so popular, it must get fake entries fairly often, or at least more than an entry on, say, the Dutch painter Pieter de Hooch anyway.

Ric Flair does call himself Space Mountain sometimes. He hasn't done it in a while though.

Now see, I would've expected all sorts of false statistics about beheadings on Space Mountain if someone was going to mess around like that...

Wikipedia is not a reliable source of information. Most basics are probably right, but too much opportunity for error.

How do the pple at wikipedia edit the site, do they not read anything someone writes or what? i mean how could u put stuff on the site like that. I, for one really liked space mountain when i went on it. Actually, my whole family did.

"The pple at wikipedia" are the users. There is no editing body. That's the whole point of Wikipedia... it's a community-written-and-edited encyclopedia. There are vastly too many articles in too many different languages for any one group to edit it. The idea is, if you use Wikipedia, like I do, and you find crap like that, your best bet is to just edit it yourself.

OMG I can't believe it, that's what the restraint's are made of, no wonder they were so sticky last time. hehehe.

I think that anyone who sites Wiki as a source in a report or study is just asking for trouble. The fact that some teachers are allowing it only supports the current liberal mindset of "everyone is right" and "there are no wrong answers". I think this is a bad message to be sending to our children. Especially while they are supposed to be learning. I can see maybe sighting Wiki as an interesting addition or a sidenote but to consider it a trusted and reliable source is just a mistake.
Not all of Wikipedia is this wrong, most of it is actually accurate and i do get a lot of my information about history on this site and i know for a fact that it is accurate. I think that this about space mountain was someone that was probably bored so they decide to write bogus things about it as a joke to see if it made it on the site. Im not saying that it is ok, im just stating that not everything on wiki is that wrong
