I just got back from Hershey for the 4th of July. Everytime I go for some reason Chocolate World reminds me of an EPCOT pavilion. Does anyone else think so? Especially the Great American Chocolate Tour ever since it got it's new catchy tune. It's like if EPCOT had a chocolate pavilion, this would be it.
(Hershey is my second favorite place on Earth after WDW

, it's a whole different type of magic)

Wow. I've never been there but 'Chocolate World' certainly got my attention.

I'll have to look into a visit sometime.

^Do you mean to tell me the word "chocolate" isn't enough to convince her?!
Never been to Chocolate World myself, but I love food factory tours! I've been on the Hershey tour in California, the Jelly Belly tour and the Celestial Seasonings tour. They were all fantastic!
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

I thought more people have been there

. Here's a youtube video of the chocolate world building and the great american chocolate tour. Someone tell me it reminds you of old school EPCOT so I can confirm that I'm not crazy. Even though it was built way before EPCOT. Maybe it inspired the EPCOT omnimovers

YES! I thought that too when I went. That was back in 1999. I understand they've completely revamped the Chocolate World ride through.
Also, I stayed at Hershey Lodge and it was very Disney-esque. The only thing is they give you candy everywhere! When you check in - "here're your keys and some chocolate." When you eat in the hotel restaurant - "here's your check and some chocolate." When you take the chocolate tour - "don't leave without your free chocolate!"
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

I would agree it does have a Chocolate Covered Epcot feel.
I just went to Hersey Park last year. Must say I thought the tour was very cool, have to love the free samples!!!
I also thought the park was very nice. Clean and family friendly. But not flat, get out those hiking boots

Yes, it does! I went to Hershey PA as a young child. Back before Hershey owned Reese's. You took a tour by walking through the factory. I remember at Reese's there were 'rejected' peanut-butter cups sitting in boxes to take and eat as you took the tour. It was a real tour 'back then.'

When you take the chocolate tour - "don't leave without your free chocolate!"
The last time I took the tour, it was so hot that they gave out a PayDay instead of chocolate. I was seriously bummed. Who wants to get a peanut bar after going through the tour and seeing all of that CHOCOLATE!!
Hershey is a great park - I try to go there every other year or so (since I live less than 2 hours away).

THAT'S JUST SO WRONG!!
Tell that to New Orleans' Mayor Nagin
''It's time for us to rebuild New Orleans -- the one that should be a chocolate New Orleans... This city will be a majority African American city. It's the way God wants it to be.''
''New Orleans was a chocolate city before Katrina. It is going to be a chocolate city after. How is that divisive? It is white and black working together, coming together and making something special.''

OK, I stand corrected. I did hear him say that, I guess I just forgot about it. It was still wrong of him to say such a thing!
