WDW Stage performances

Post by AKLRULZ » May Sat 06, 2006 8:57 am

What is your favorite stage show performance at WDW? I'm really sad over Tarzan Rocks! going dark. Festival of the Lion King is probably my favorite now.

We really don't bother with most others after seeing them once, although we might catch B&B at the Disney Studios every now and then.

Tarzan Rocks! was pretty cool. I'd enjoyed that.

I think my favorite though was the Hunchback of Notre Dame: A Musical Adventure. But, I really liked that movie anyway... :)

Festival of the Lion King is definitely up there. Nemo is good too.

Festival of the Lion King. I haven't seen Nemo yet. I am looking forward to seeing it.

Beauty and the Beast is awesome but if you can count Fantasmic, then that has to be it.

Sometimes the best thing about going to one of the shows, is getting out of the heat.

I loved the Hunchback of Notre Dame and was sorry to see it gone in 2002. It's hard, but I would say my favorite now is Nemo with The Lion King a close second.

If Fantasmic counts, that. Else it'll have to be a toss-up between Beauty and the Beast and the Festival of the Lion King. (I haven't seen Nemo yet..)

From the shows I've seen I'm going to have to go with the Beauty and The Beast Show at MGM. I've said it before it's like watching a downgraded version of a Broadway play. Very good.

But Fantasmic is really good too, if it counts as a regular stage show.

As much as I love Fantasmic. I'm going with FotLK. It's the show that I tell people they HAVE to go see it.

The way I feel about it is it's got EVERYTHING that Disney does well. You are put into a large empty industrial building (to be honest on the inside it doesn't even feel like a theater.) And then magic happens, and the fill every inch of the place. It's got Live Action and Animatronics, and singer and acrobats, and wire artists... Even when they get the kids up to sing at the end....

In classic sort of Penn and Teller moment you figure out you saw every second of setup and you still don't know how it's done.

BatB is just a stage show.
Tarzan Rocks! was okay I liked going to it, but it's a stage show.
FNtM it's good it's got it's moments.
Cindrellabration I think gets an honorable mention. I did like that show.
Dream along with Mickey or as I call it the Live Action Ad for P^3 two words Hated it.
The Indian Jones Stunt spectacular...fun I don't think it's the best show

Festival of the Lion King! We also really like Off Kilter, if you can count that.
