Roseanne had an episode too. Dan stayed at Epcot while everyone else went to Magic Kingdom so he could drink beer all day. . .sounds like something my DH would do!

Yes, Roseanne did one, and Boy Meets World did one where they took a tour to the top floor of the Living Seas where the Dolphins are. Topanga is on a trip she won at school, and Cory somehow gets past cast members and key card locked doors to the top floor looking for her and ends up talking to a Dolphin. Its pretty decent if you ignore the fact it could never really happen.

I don't really know what network those shows were on, but since Disney owns ABC and a few other stations, they advertise their product through those shows.

The Golden Girls had an episode where Sophie was chomping at the bit to want to go to WDW.

And there was a Disney-produced show called "Thunder in Paradise" back in the 90s that had been on a major network station that was filmed around the parks too. The Grand Floridian was the hotel on the TV show, under a different name. Hulk Hogan was in it!

I remember that show! When it first aired, I was glued to the TV for the sole fact that it was filmed in WDW. But looking back on it now, it was a pretty crappy show. I can't even fathom how I sat through it. Some of the things I do to get a glimpse of Disney.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who did this. I don't remember a thing about that show, but I remember seeing the Grand Floridian once. That was good enough for me.

I'm pretty sure there was an episode of Blossom way back that was at Disneyland(? I think. It may have been WDW). Her dad was supposed to be performing there, as I recall.

 Yep, we're all a bunch of geeks, aren't we?

Thunder in Paradise was a WAY cheesy show, but it was so cool to watch and try to figure out where they were on-property that was "behind the scenes" too. What normal areas and buildings were turned into part of the set - it was fun!

There is a great link for a site that lists all of the shows coming up in the next week that have Disney in them. Ironically both Roseanne and Boy Meets World are going to be on.

The site is http://www.bartlett-sloan.net/tv/agenda ... genda=soon

Tokyo Disneyland has been mentioned in a couple of anime series that I've seen. I don't know if it's actually being referenced, or if it's just the subtitler's preference.

Oh, and "Welcome Home."

It seems as if every ABC tv show in the 90's went there at one point or another, a little annoying, but they could translate that same concept to their ongoing shows. Imagine, it's the last episode of the series for Lost and you find out that the whole group of them have just been on Tom Sawyer's Island in the Magic Kingdom. the very final minutes of the show and a CM comes up to all of them and says, ummmm....we're going to have to ask you to leave, you are disrupting things for the other guests. and than bam, it goes to that black Lost screen.

I once found/downloaded a (somewhat crappy) video of The Muppets at Walt Disney World. It's actually the last big project that Jim Henson did before his death (besides MuppetVision 3D). apparently it aired on May 6, 1990, just 10 days before he died on May 16. I recently re-found this file on an unmarked CD-R I must've burned, and I'm putting the video up on Google Videos right now. I'll post the link as soon as it's done.

a little about it:
it has an all-star cast such as Micheal Eisner (in the very beginning), Raven-Symone, Charles Grodin, Frank Oz, Jim Henson, and many Disney cast mambers while in character.
original airing May 6, 1990
it was the last time Henson performed the voices for many of his best-known characters, including Rowlf, the Swedish Chef, Beeker, and Kermit.

Anyone ever see this one?

Edit: Here's the link for the video on Google Videos. As I said, the quality isn;t the best, and google seems to sap away even more. oh, well. and don;t forget to watch my other video which I did from pictures from our trip to WDW in December 2006...
