I plan on going to Universal and Sea World at least once. My roommate wants to buy a season pass but how many times do you think we could go in 4 months especially since hes the one that drives so it's not like I can walk there or take a bus & go alone....
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

I can understand wanting to go check it out once (even though I never did). But, personally, I wanted to spend all my free time at Disney. I guess maybe other people aren't as obsessed as I am. ;)

I totally understand! There is so much to do at Disney, I really didn't have the time to go anywhere else. I didn't have a car, and most of my friends had different schedules, so it was difficult to organize any one trip. You would think working and living there for 4-5 months, you'd have done everything!

What I should have done, was spend time with my roommates from the get-go, before all the training and actual work begins. It's that time where everyone should have free time.

Yeah thats what it seems like from what I've gathered from all the people who I've been talking too down there now. The first few days are the best but between different work schedules, it's very hard to see everyone once everyone starts working.

I'll still find time to visit Universal at least once, Of all the time I've been to Florida, I have never stepped on Universal territory so I just have to do it.

Sea World is a maybe but Universal is a definite.

There were one or two beach trips, but I didn't take initiative and go to them. I did however go to Busch Gardens, and it turned out great. Check those e-newsletters that the College Program sends you, too. They give out a lot of information.
Let me get this straight... you intern at WDW, get paid to work at WDW and they send you to Busch Gardens for entertainment and fun? Isn't that a bit messed up?! :?:
No, it's great!! :D I think that it's wonderful to have experiences outside of Disney. We had a blast! Although Busch Gardens is a competitor, they are not at the same level as Disney World and Universal, so I think they formed some sort of partnership to show people what the area has to offer. What would probably be messed up is if they sponsored a trip to Universal.

30 days and counting! Man does time fly or what

I've made a list of other things I want to do while down there:

I want to explore and do different things down there. Things I never imagined myself doing before. I want to go parasailing, learn how to surf at Typhoon Lagoon, Waterski, and just now I signed up to walk the Tower of Terror's 13th Anniversary event that happens at night time on the 27th of October.
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

I'll be sure to come and visit you at your job.

I'll pass on the race. Running isn't my thing, lol.

Let's see, I'm not totally sure when I'll be going, but sometime in the fall. I'll be sure to let you know more when I know more.

I'm sure you'll have some pretty crazy stories to tell us. It's inevitable for custodial due to the high interaction with guests.

So in order to hype myself even more, I have watched every single Disney Animated Film in order and now I'm watching the Pixar Movies in order. I want to know every character in every movie so I will have all this Disney Knowledge currently in my head when I'm down there.

Yes I'm the biggest dork you will know.

Don't be ashamed of your Disney-love. At least you will be in the right spirit. Some CPs who do the program don't even know anything about Disney. Tis a shame.

How long is your program?

It really is a shame. I worked with so many people who didn't know a thing about Disney. One time, a guest asked one of my fellow cast members something about a room with tiki birds in it. The cast member told them that there wasn't anything like that at the Magic Kingdom. I set him straight, but still...it's sad.

So, yeah, your love and appreciation for all things Disney is nothing to be ashamed of! :)
