Techno-nurd's guide to Disney rides

Post by Guy » Jul Wed 04, 2007 5:13 am

I would love to hear of any website or details you have on how the rides in Disney Parks work. Yes, I am a techno-nurd (technology not music) and so couldn't resist. If you know any details about how rides work, it would be great hearing about them.

To get the 'coaster' rolling, here is a website that gives the technical specification of Space Mountain

In the Pocahontas & Friends show at Animal Kingdom, the puppeteer who operates the tree on stage lays on a train that runs under the stage. They needed to do this in order to keep the stage level low.

These are very good sites. The first is basically an artist's tribute - it's a shame you cannot actually navigate around his 3D image. The second site is full of secrete - loved that one, cheers netslave,

Here are some site for the Universe of Energy. I'd still love to know more about how the seating moves....

No problem. I am hoping that more people will add to it over the course of time.
