Certainly sounds interesting. Not sure if they have enough space to really pull something off but at least they are thinking. I like both areas a lot, Condor Flats is neat a night with the airport lighting, etc. and of course all of the Grizzly area is amazingly well done. Removing the remaing extreme sports references [there aren't many left are there?] from GP like they mentioned and making more national-park-like would be a great tweak to the thing, outside of rafting the rest never fit...

That rumor sounds like a mixup of the rumor I'm seeing all over... that, like the old Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland ride, they're going to add a ton of AA animals to the shores of the Grizzly River Run ride.

I'm sure someone could read that and think they're putting in a train ride.

Now that sounds a lot more likely - and that would be a neat addition to GRR.

The only thing that kinda gets me thinking about the AA animals is how water and electricty don't mix very well. And the grizzly river run has alot of water...everywhere.
I do stuff sometimes.

They could do Pneumatic characters of some form, much like the Jungle Cruise.

Hey I take offense with that. Pneumatic implies that it is run by air, all of Disney's AA's run off of Hydraulics. :P They chose Hydraulics because of the reliability, low noise, and strength.

not all the AA's are hydraulic. some are still pneumatic. I believe the Tiki birds are...

Either Pneumatic or Hydraulic I feel better now. lol! Here's my next question though:
If passengers are moving really fast, spinning, and enjoying all that rip-roaring fun; they won't really have alot of time to really experience the AA anmals, would they?

I think that would be awesome to have an up to date Natures Wonderland! I would like it a lot better then GRR. Its always to cold to ride that ride! I dont even like riding it in the summer because i dont want to walk around wet :(

Well it is one of those things where if you are interested in seeing the AA's people will see it. It's like being on everest or something. You are screaming past a lot of stuff but you still pay attention and look closely.

I also think it would be like going down the Big Thunder Drop. You can't really catch all the animals, but it's comforting to know they're there :D

I immediately thought of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad as I was reading the discussion. I can imagine some sort of bear animatronic on Grizzly River Run. When I first went on the ride, I was thinking one might appear, especially going through the cave with the bear sounds echoing throughout.

I know a couple six flags parks have the blizzard river theme for their river rapids ride. While they may not have animatronis they have a lot of gothic theming and there's penguins and snow on the banks. Having never been to Disneyland, I'm surprised to hear Disney didn't put AAs along the river especially a bear or something. Maybe even a reference to Jungle Cruise where a grizzly is getting into a campers tent instead of a gorilla. :D

ZING!!! That would be funny. Although I do not the way they have it set up as a Northern CA nature area now, and I'd probably prefer just some regular AAs built into the surroundings, that you kind of have to look for. I think that would be a lot of fun for people to try and see all the animals.
