Sorry if I repeat anything anyone has already said. But I'm trying to catch up and might have forgotten some of the many comments.

I'd love to see a big celebration for EPCOT's 25th. I would love to see a hall set up like a museum (like in MGM that showcases Disney's life) about EPCOT's past. Imagine how cool it would be to walk through and see the old signs, and the old ride vehicles, heck maybe even old parades!

I think revamping the Rio de Tiempo is understandable but I have to agree that adding the three cabarillos, might be fun, it does take away from what the intenion is. I love the ride and the way they celebrate the Mexican history now I think is really fun and relaxing. Adding the Disney Characters might "Americanize" it, for lack of a better word. Why can't we just have people in character costumes outside of the ride celebrating the Mexican heritage.

I also love the films in Canada, China, and especially France. But I can see them getting new films to keep it updated. EPCOT is suppose to be educational AND fun. Too many kids get bored of the films and start to act up ruining it for those enjoying it. There has to be a way to update the films in a fun educational way. Except France, I think that film is still great to this day.

As far as Soarin'. It's funny that there is a rumor that the film might change to match more with World Showcase. Cause I said that would be a great idea a long time ago. I think it would be a great ride if you soared over the Great Wall of China, and circled around The Eifel Tower, and circled around Canada's... uh.. snow... and maybe fly by the Statue of Liberty... and then end over Disney World.

Just a couple of my thoughts!

Disney has a new web site promoting Siemens and Spaceship Earth

http://www.epcotspaceshipearth.com/

The site, doesn't seem complete. Notice the new logo... intresting.

Thanks for the link. Retro lettering and re-using the original logo and color scheme it seems. Bonus points for not messing with that excessively. I like the shots on wdwmagic from inside - they keep the futuristic theming going and avoid the trendy look.

Seems kind of crazy to take SSE down most of the summer though, that can gobble up a lot of people. And since they are taking it down for that long you'd think the one thing they could do is add headrests!!

Hmmm... I was hoping to see a little more about Spaceship Earth on a site with spaecship eath in its title. The new logo seems odd to me. It's cool that they're bringing back the "globe" part, but all those things around it seem unecessary. But, hey, it's just a logo.

The new retro style logo looks nice to me, but I thought there'd be something about Spaceship Earth on the site, not just Siemens stuff. Well, at least they're taking the sponsership seriously. Hopefully they'll stick around and with any luck maybe those headrests are on their way!

Now that they're using the retro logo, isn't it time to return to the original look of the globe (sans wand?). Starting to sound like a broken record.

Yeah, that was surprising that the site doesn't actually talk about the ride. Mostly a advertising/promo site for themselves. But you're right, it is nice to see someone proud to be a sponsor.

As for the wand - have cutting torch, will travel! Who's with me? Souvenir chunks of metal for all!

Wow, those are great pictures Cheshire Cat. I had forgotten how impressive the simple roundness of Spaceship Earth was. That wand was nice for a year, but it's time to return to normal. G2-4T, I'm ready for a souvenir!

The picture of the wand over the castle and the tree made me snort out loud. I actually don't mind the wand so much at Epcot (it's better than some things they could have done, I think, like .. painting the ball or something), but even I'm ready to back to the original look now. Everyone knows 'ball = Epcot'. People who can't figure out where they are are probably not helped by the sign anyway..

I loved the picture of the wand over the Tree of Life and Castle. Made me spit out my soda, but I'll addmit I'm not too mad over the wand being there but nor would I mind seeing it leave.

Guess I'm neutral

Kevin Yee has a review of the new Post Show attractions.

Sounds like WDI might have gotten it right for a change.

I love the look of the whole place. And Yee said it and I'll repeat it, the advertisements are done tactfully. I do think it is done very well.

Reminded me of the old Far Side cartoon where the guy has painted labels on everything (like "tree", "house", "cat", etc...) and is standing there with his hands on his hips saying something like, "Now that ought to clear up a few things around here!"
