are you feeling..Lucky?
a friend recently told me about a new free-walking, audience interacting dinosaur named Lucky at WDW. im curious to know exactly how it operates, anyone care to share?

Well according to some things I have heard Lucky is run by an out of sight remote controller operating Lucky's mechanisms and such. He was at DCA for a short time a few months back and from what I have heard he was very impressive, wont it be great when they can finally put these type of AA's in rides

I saw him in DCA by chance - very cool. He had a guide with him to make sure the crowd didn't get too close, etc. The controller would easily hide in the backlot area - so many windows there that it wouldn't be a challenge. I'm not a mechanical engineer but i do know some and it seems that the idea of Lucky isn't too far off the usual AA but with more complex controls, etc.
It would be interesting to see them in rides someday - a bit pricey right now I hear but who knows, someday something like Dinosaur could get a lot creepier. And you thought your eyes were playing tricks on you in the dark...

I haven't seen Lucky but I've seen a talking palm tree in AK and a talking garbage can in MK. There is cast member that controls the whole thing by remote control. The first time I saw on I had no clue how disney did it. The next time I was more observant and spotted the cast member. Its a cool "Disney" that makes the parks special. Its the little things like this that make Disney great. I love the reactions of kids...

I haven't heard of any rumors.. but think of the possibilites of free moving AA figures on rides like pirates of the carribean, peter panr, etc
Sounds like some cool possibilities
