Those 80's tracks bring back a lot of memories for me... I like them.
It's got to be a generational thing.

aww man, I was a child of the 80s too, so it's not really a generational thing. (I was born in 1983.) I think it stems mainly from my mom's adult lite music she used to listen to. Daddy used to listen to classic rock, so I veer more towards his tastes.
to me Future World will always be associated with the 80s, from the shapes of the buildings to the colors they used.
but I do love The Land's loop that was on yesterday, which was a lot of standards, like Sinatra.

Humans strive for perfection and time just strives for tomorrow, and neither really gets there.
Here are answers to someones question of what the Frito Kid is: it states it was a vending machine.
Casa de Fritos, "Frito Kid and Klondike" 2:08 STEREO [REVISED (STEREO) 5/99]
Mexican restaurant Frito vending machine, later was Casa Mexicana, now Rancho del Zocalo.
Prior to 5/99 was 2:43 and MONO. New track is STEREO (Frito Kid-left, Klondike-right) and is more tightly edited. Was "Frito Kid."

I must admit, I love the Fritos track. The way he says 'free tooooes' is just so cute.
There aren't many tracks I don't like, though listening last night reminded me how much I -don't- miss Captain EO.

Yeah, but to hear people talk about it who actually saw it in operation, it was quite an extraordinary machine. You'd put your money in the slot, at which time one of the recordings of Klondike and the Frito Kid would play, then your bag of deeeelicious Fritos would appear from inside the mine shaft of the miniature mountain, and then slide down the mountainside into your waiting hands. Too bad Disney couldn't replace some of the ordinary vending machines around the parks today with something this unique.packwingfn wrote:A vending machine? I would have never figured that

Agree - they really bring me back as a kid. Love 'em!subsonic wrote:Those 80's tracks bring back a lot of memories for me... I like them.

Wow now that I actually know what it is and what it did sounds amazing! I don't think I hate the track as much anymore, at first I thought it was just something random.Yeah, but to hear people talk about it who actually saw it in operation, it was quite an extraordinary machine.
