About taking quick shots. One of my favorite shots was taken as I walked off Test Track and saw the Monorail going by. Less than 30 seconds, pull out my camera and snap.

That's a cool picture. I waited forever one to take a picture of the Monorail coming out near the Universe of Energy but it took too long so I gave up on it. (this was before I had a digital camera) so I didn't wanna waste my time taking a picture that would come out crappy
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

Rain upon that planet Earth. And they rain ... and rain ... and rain. The deluge.

What is the deal with monorail? I guess that old adage about "a watched monorail never comes past" is true. I setup once to get some nice shots of the monorail in Epcot, and I waited and Waited and WAITED. After about 30 minutes (and yes it was really that long, I had a watch on) the monorail tug came along. it wasn't pulling anything, just by itself and I thought okay one should belong anytime now. Then more waiting... after another 20 minutes or so...I finally had to give up.

Hey, you should have taken a picture of the tug! It's pretty rare to see those. Not a great vacation picture but still, something different. :D

I'vve got pictures of the Tug. Nice thing about Digital Photography and 8GBs of Flash (not a single 8GB card but multiple 1 and 2GB ones.) You take any pictures you want and sort them out later.

Infact I've never tossed a pictures, even the bad ones I keep the bits, on DVDs at home.

I heard AK is wonderful at night. are the animals up and about though?
Humans strive for perfection and time just strives for tomorrow, and neither really gets there.

not really. most (if not all) the animal exhibits are closed just after dusk. the exception is the oasis area, as you have to walk through there to get to the exit

Awesome pics! AK looks amazing at night. I've only been there until it closes at 5. Thanks for sharing your pics with us.

I just went to AK for the EMH on my birthday. I must say I was very impressed with the lighting.

Everest and the Tree are especially cool at night.

Also Escape Everest is sweet at night. Love riding coasters in the dark!

Totally, Everest is 10x better at night. The freaking yeti scared me when I rode it on at night

I think every ride is better at night, and every park

Did you take your tripod????????

On another note the thing I don't like about Animal Kingdoms Extra Magic hours is that they don't really have that many night time rides. I understand that it is an animal park and they have to sleep but Disney needs to put in a few more rides for both day and night.

I still find it fun to just walk around the park at night, enjoying the atmosphere but maybe that's just me.
