As per the first News post you see on the front page, Subsonic has taken down the scheduled stream due to the bandwidth issues he's been having. We hope to have this issue resolved ASAP, but at this time, there is no ETA on when the problems will be resolved.

Question is the 128K stream skipping a lot of anyone else?

ok, News on the 128k Schedule stream - it is currently down per Subsonic because of the bandwidth issues. With the issues slowly resolving themselves, the stream should be back up soon.

It's happening for everyone, I'm only getting 128k out of my server right now and don't know why. My default is 768k which has been dandy for years.

So the skipping is my streams hitting the caps.

So far this morning it seems okay.

Just a quick note, the 128K stream is back up and running. Also as more people listen to subsonic radio is the bandwidth issue going to get worse? If so what are possibilities as to fixing this problem?

it is a distinct possibility that the bandwidth problems do increase as traffic on the site soars ever higher. Sub is currently looking to get a better server to help with the issues

ok thanks, hopefully we will continue to grow but at the same time keep up with the increase in listener flow.

This problem has been on my mind for at least a year now. With my current setup I've been able to run the site for relatively cheap, basically only paying for my home DSL costs and occasionally a server upgrade. Really there's no place I can go without jumping the costs by about 100 a month. This isn't feasible for something that's just a hobby that doesn't bring in any money. :)

It's been discussed several times about me asking for donations and/or putting up ads. I haven't accepted any money because I don't want Disney coming after me. I'm hoping that with this attitude, if someone says I'm violating rights I can just shut down and not have to owe anybody money.

All the Request streams are down at the moment.
You only hear the intro and then nothing...

it was just the 128k that was down. I was able to connect to the 24k and 64k streams without a problem.

The 128k should be back up and running now. The encoder stpped for some reason. it's now fixed

Scheduled Stream says:
Server Status: Server is currently down.

currently, the scheduled stream is up and running, no problems found, so whatever the problem this morning, it's fixed now. I believe it was just a server restart, but could be wrong...
