It's ok, manunderwater. don't worry about it. we have at least 1 version already. It's all ready for Subsonic to add into the playlist.

I'm going today, I'll let you guys know how they both are. I've heard that they've had it for a while. When I first heard about it I kept asking cast members about it and they denied all existence. If you look at the new space mountain sign you can see that "Rockin" sign behind it very clear. A cast member actually snapped at my friend when he came off the regular Space Mountain and yelled "Rockin' was awesome!" The cast member said, "That was Space Mountain, there's no such thing as Rockin' Mountain!", what a freak.

I've been on both of them on two trips and liked them both no matter how many times I rode them. The soundtrack added a lot. Space is different because of a lot of added lights. You can see a lot of the track, but I thought it was a little freaky to realize things were so close to you. What helped me to enjoy it more was looking off to the side and straight down to see how high up you really are! That was scarier than the regular ride version!

I rode both versions yesterday, and I will say I thought Rockin' Space Mountain was okay. "Higher Ground" is one of my favorite songs by RHCP, but I thought seeing the track killed it, yet now I am not afraid of keeping my hands up on the ride! Nonetheless, I prefer dark Space Mountain.
As for Screamin', it was TERRIBLE! The mix for "Around the World" was completely off, and really didn't add anything to the ride. It's a nice novelty, and it would be interesting to see if they try any more bands, but I prefer both attractions in their original states.

So, I know there are some that didn't approve of the soundtracks, which includes my brother who prompted me to use a different artist for a soundtrack. So, I thought I'd share with all of you Rockin' Space and Screamin' with U2 as the artist.

Why did it even have to be a popular artist? Disney should have composed their own Rockin' soundtrack. Then it would be truly unique and never outdated.

Good point, I don't see RHCP very Disney anyways, maybe for an MGM attraction. I hope this isn't a taste of things to come. I like the switch over of HM holiday, but the rockin' isn't big enough for me to give a two thumbs up. Disney has been pretty good at making their own music, after all, most of their animated features are musicals, not to mention all the recent musical Disney Channel movies. It was a cheap fix in my book... not saying SM needed a fix or anything.

I think, if they had picked a better song, it works for Screamin' because it's supposed to be finding a radio station while you are cruising along. It's California-esque. It fits the whole story and theme of Rockin' Roller Coaster. Space, though, they should have made their own. If there's one gripe I have is what is up with a concert in space?

I'm still afraid to hold my hands up on it (Space Mountain)! Maybe if I go on again I'll try it and make sure it works.
I thought the lighting was really cool; being able to see the track (especially how it disappeared around corners) somehow made the ride feel faster than normal. Weird, right? Maybe seeing the track gives you a split second to think, "uh-oh, look what's coming." Anyway, it was a neat experience, and the concert theming worked really well.
To tell you the truth, I like the original California Screamin' soundtrack better -- but it didn't always play in all of the cars, for some reason.
