The blinking part bothers me for some reason.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

I showed it to my 16 YO DD, who is a lifelong Disney baby, and she was creeped out. She definitely prefers the non-articulated Mickey and Minnie. I guess it's like if all of a sudden all your favorite stuffed animals started to talk to you.

It's OK in the stage show, but I don't think I'd it would work well in the meet and greets.

They're great!
I love them. It's like the cartoons have come to life!

The only problem i can see is that now kids are going to expect mickey etc to talk to them at the character meet and greats, obviously the actors don't sound anything like Mickey/donald etc. Obviously you couldn't have a recording for the meet and greats as the characters would have to respond to what the children are saying.

I think I should point out, because maybe people missed it in any of the articles on these new character heads, but these are NOT being considered for meet'n'greets... only stage shows and parades.

I wouldnt be suprised that some day in the future that they will have these working in the meet n greets. I mean this is the same company who created Turtle Talk with Crush which I think is the coolest technology that they have created recently.

They must be computer controlled to be synched with the song/audio.

Probably, wireless equipment is much cheaper/smaller to make now. I'm guessing it's like packwingfn said, it's synced by wireless to a computer.

Just got back. We saw the show in front of the castle. The new heads look great. The timing was right on que. Eyes and mouths all moved as if they were alive.

I think they look cool, too. I'm divided on wanting it at the Meet 'n Greet characters (even though I there aren't any plans to put it into those yet). On the one hand, it would take lots of people out of the crowds that I'm in and into the character greeting areas, so it may be a good people sucker.
On the other hand, my wife and I are pregnant, and we might have to get in one of those extraordinarily long lines with crabby kids, which I don't want.

That is the coolest, most-awesomest thing I have ever laid eyes upon. Mickey and Minnie really ARE coming to life. Disney ingenuity does it again.

WOW. What will modern technology think of next? It is a little creepy but very cool. What's coming now is like that scene in The Simpsons or from West World where the meet and greet characters are all robots. No more people in costumes. Let's just hope they remember who created them! LOL!
