Paradise Pier Changes
Ok, now I can't find the site (I think it might have been laughingplace.com), but I saw that there's a large amount of construction being done in Paradise Pier. If nothing else, it looks like the facades are being changed. Does anybody know what changes are planned?
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

^Basically, the construction is related to the new attraction, "Midway Mania," the attraction that is being created at Disney-MGM studios as well. The attraction will be a dark ride ALA Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters, with either a Pixar or Toy Story theme and some innovative special effects.
Based on the description, I'm assuming it will be a much different experience than Buzz Lightyear, otherwise it would be redundant to have two interactive dark rides themed to Pixar films. It's expected that Disney will make the official announcement this month.

I have seen the same concept art and it does look a bit like Buzz but I have heard that the ride vehicles will actually stop for a time at scenes that look like some of the old carnival games - with a Toy Story twist.bdinger wrote:They have what looks like concept art for this ride in the most recent annual report. It looks cool, but the image makes it look very much like Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters. The art shows people shooting at things in cars similar to Buzz.
