Do they still have the buffet restaurant in Norway? I heard it was one of the cheaper places to eat?? Any good? Fishy?
It's still there, but now it's character dining with the princesses. The menu has changed a few times in recent years. I'm not sure it can really be classified as a "Cheaper" place to eat as it's $20+ pre-fixed price for people 12+ (I think, and I think it was high 20's like $28) T

hey do have a lot of smoked fish. Salmon, hering, etc. They also have an assortment of breads and cheeses. The brown "Goat Cheese" they have is like my absolute favorite cheese it's this creamy, sweet, cheese.

When you are seated you get a menu and the menu has a number of dishes, which currently, are very similar in proportion to the average dinner plate in many other dining establishments (mine was bigger than what I got at 50's Prime Time) but you can only order once, that part is not all you can eat. The all you can eat is the "Appetizer" bar with the smoked fish, the cheeses, the breads, various salads (i.e. potato salad, tomato salad, etc) and a few other items. They USED to have these amazing meatballs, sort of like Swedish meatballs but big (Norwegian meatballs?) but they weren't there anymore. And when I was there back in around '04 the meals you ordered were a new ffeature, but you could keep ordering them from the kitchen. They came in a much smaller helping but if you liked something you could just keep ordering plates of it, or try something else - but they've changed the policy so now you just get one big plate.

An interesting note regarding the Stave Church - they've changed the interior museum to now be of strictly vikings. It has models of about 5 vikings and short bios on them; I don't recall seeing any of the old stave church info/history. The sad part about the change is that the Stave Church music that is so coveted here on SR no longer plays in the interior of the stave church...or at least it was not for the 15 minutes I speant in there the day I was there.

when I was down there last week, I noticed the same thing. In fact, I noticed that the tracks that were playing were from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I satyed and listened for about 20 minutes and could readily pick out the tracks and where in the movies they played.

It's kind of strange how they do that. It doesn't make any sense if it's not about a Strave Church. Hmm, I think some new management has gotten a bit out of hand..?..
Love Tomorrowland and Adventureland, but hard to decide to which one is best.

Yeah I noticed the change when I went in August. I liked the designs of all the different churches. Now all I saw was some ugly vikings lol
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

It's going to be so interesting listening to a lot of the tracks I have but have never been to in person. This one I'm going to make sure I hear.
